We traveled as a family of 4 (e.g., children ages 9 & 13) to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai & Bangkok while staying at different accommodations at different price points. Nonetheless, all accommodations met expectations. We felt welcomed & safe as we explored each province & engaged in varied activities. I know everyone loves Bangkok but it reminded me of Times Square…the smells, dirt & crowds. The best thing about Bangkok was the shopping, diverse foods & Chatuchak market. The market is a must see! Don’t forget to get a Thai massage…it’s heaven!
