The sports bar/ restaurant City view has an inviting environment and plenty of great menu options. The service is immaculate with great engagement and attentiveness. The music and dance are unmatched. Everyone loves it here and never wants to leave trust me.
BLISS Meadows Farm is the perfect example of what can be done with abandoned lots and homes in Baltimore and beyond. Bliss Meadows is 10 acres of urban farmland founded by Atiya Wells, a black female farmer. The farm has goats, chickens, beehives and a plethora of fruits and vegetables. Bliss Meadows is the perfect place to teach Black children about the importance of growing their own food and remind Black adults that our ancestors had access to acres of farmland before it was stolen.
I have traveled to Baltimore several times. The Inner Harbour is a great place to stay. Great for a romantic weekend. I recommend The Rusty Scupper for a special evening with great food. It is right on the water and can be followed up with a stroll along the water. Not everywhere is safe to stay in the city if you’re not from there, however I definitely feel it is safe for black travelers overall.
I chose to visit Baltimore to view a baseball game at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. It’s a bucket list item to view a game at every MLB stadium as well as travel to every major city in every state. I would have to say Baltimore was everything that i researched. Great food, great nightlife and great views along the Harbor. I didn’t witness any of the negativity associated with Baltimore and i cant wait to go back.
Baltimore was a great trip for my family. We traveled there to watch the Orioles play baseball at home. As a baseball family we loved this town. The babe Ruth museum was a short walk from the ballpark and our hotel. Being a baseball fan and being able to say I was in the house babe Ruth was born in is a huge deal. So Baltimore MD was an amazing trip for us.
There is a lot of black people. The city is very lively. In my opinion it’s a party city. You go there to have fun.Day or night there was always a party. I got there by airplane. Try to get your tickets way in advanced for a reduced price. Make you saved a bit more money for fun.
So Baltimore is definitely a gem of a city to visit. From beautiful harbor views to amazing crab cakes, it’s a city that has a lot to do and a lot of history. The Baltimore Acquarium is always a great time and there are a ton of things to do with your family like professional baseball and football games. The inner harbor will offer more upscale options with restaurants in the Four Seasons Baltimore like Wit & Wisdom. I personally believe Baltimore gets a bad reputation…are there bad locations, sure but I can say that for any city. I would recommend visiting and eating everything with Old Bay seasoning !!
So baltimore is a fairly cheap city in Maryland. However, the city of baltimore is NOT the safest place to live in. Now of course, there are always good and bad to every neighborhood.
Baltimore also houses one of the nations most elite schools, Johns Hopkins University, as well as HeadQuarters like Under Armour, and has Four Seasons Hotel and Morgan Stanley offices.
There is history that lies in baltimore and you can see it through some of the buildings on Charles street or other streets nearby!
Nightlife is pretty decent, they are known for pubs and bars. You won’t find much clubs in D.C.
Definitely visit the Baltimore Harbor and grab some crabs while at it! The most beautiful, peaceful part of baltimore!
