I’m actually from the area. I really just wanted to highlight the Black history that does exist here. From Boston’s African American meeting house, which can be accessed also during one of the African American trail walks, is just one of so much hidden black history that Massachusetts has to offer. Just 10 minutes outside, is my hometown of Medford. A city built by “slave” labor. To commemorate former enslaved Afro-Americans Medford preserves the wall of a mansion built by a former enslaved man, the Royall House and Slave Quarters – the only one north of the Mason Dixon line, a cemetery honoring early Afro-Americans that are buries there, and so much more.

Boston has a lot of history!! It’s not necessarily a party city as everything closes down by 2am. However ut has great brunch/lunch and dinner location. It’s also a pretty relaxing city. It’s busy but a slow down kind of busy if that makes sense. Definitely recommend to visit Seaport

Whenever I’m in Boston, I visit Faneuil Hall, go to the Boston Aquarium and I have to eat at Dick’s Last Resort. The drinks are huge and the service is terrible but that’s the charm. The waiters bark at you, throw utensils and write rude comments about you on paper bag hats. You basically pay them to roast you. It’s hilarious and the food is good. If it isn’t, they don’t care.

So much history in Boston MA. My hometown is definitely worth traveling too. Take a tour on the Freedom Trail viewing historic sites. Home of the Champs!! While in season, catch a Celtics game at TD North (Boston Gardens) or Red Sox game at Fenway Stadium! Wander around the city via our public transit line (MBTA) for shopping, site seeing…grab authentic Italian food for from the North End, a short distance from downtown. Check out the newly opened WAX museum located at city hall plaza(pretty much downtown). For a nice adventurous, history filled vacation…BOSTON is the place to visit!!

Boston is an amazing getaway! There’s a ton of things to do, try to go to a Red Sox, or a Celtics game if you can! The seafood is the best, especially at The Seafood Room and Shaking Crab!

As a young, black female that has been afforded so many opportunities to travel, i’m always intrigued about the African Diaspora. Boston is RICH in our history and we should take the time to educate ourselves. There are a few different self guided tours, as well as tours that have a guide along the African Diaspora trail. Visiting the first African American church was, dope! I’m pretty sure my best-friend found this tour on one of the other travel sites (TA). We partook in a self guided tour which allowed us to walk as fast or slow and me to to take as many pictures as I wanted Lol. Please search “African Diaspora.” It WILL change your life.

Boston was a good time. There’s alot to do sail on the harbor, tons of eateries, parks etc and it’s easy to get around, quite walkable.

Boston is always a great idea. You can catch a Celtics game at the Garden, or go see the Red Sox at Fenway. Newbury Street is the place to go for shopping or grabbing a bite to eat. Plus, you have the Prudential Center nearby. You can also do a Duck Tour, stop by the Boston Common Park, Faneuil Hall, Museum of Fine Arts, or Science. As far as Night life Bijou, or Cure are the places to go to and if you don’t mind taking a 35-40 minute drive North of Boston to a small city called Lawrence for a great night life and delicious cuisines.

If your traveling to Boston I think the best places to stay are in the downtown Boston area or Cambridge. If you want to see the city and go on historical tours like Boston Duck tours, Boston Freedom trail or American History Tours this Can all be done in the downtown Boston area. If you want to take a self guided tour around Harvard and MIT Cambridge, Ma is the place to go.

Boston is a cool lil city. Very relaxed, and the food is great. If you’re there at least for six hours, hit The African Meeting House. It’s a beautifully preserved part of Boston’s Museum of African-American History and a nice, quick stop along the Black Heritage Trail. The actual meeting house…aka church was the first Black church in America. Also, stop by Bunker Hill Monument on your way around. Boston Commons & Boston Harbor are also great ways to end your day. Go get a lobster roll form James Hook Company downtown!

I’ve been going to Massachusetts all of my life and I must say, my favorite part about visiting is the seafood. They also have really good Thai restaurants. However in Cambridge, Massachusetts there’s a little Italian restaurant called “Courthouse Seafood” and their food is soooo fresh and good. It’s not a fancy place. But it is very clean and not crazy overpriced. I highly recommend it. I go there EVERY time I’m in town.

Boston is a great city to see traveling while black. It’s a very progressive city and quite diverse already. It’s quiet, very green and not too crowded. The Boston commons is nice to pass the day and read a book get some vitiman D. Their China town is also unique if you like authentic Chinese food. You definitely should check out the cambridge Harvard area and see their street art ! To eat I enjoyed: Live alive and cuong vegan sandwhiches. It’s quite easy getting around I recommend getting a Charlie pass from the metro.

I used to live In Boston and its a great place if you love history and nature. Transportation is like New York, with subways, buses and bikes to get around. There are so many parts in the city with monuments (Bunker Hill monument is my favorite), historical statues and other sites. Copley Square and the Boston Harbor are great for nature walks, picnics, and just relaxing in the spring and summer time. Also, the number one dessert place to eat there are Mikes Pastry and Max Brenner, those restaurants are very well known and loved there.
