To start, the weather in Denver is always perfect for whatever you want to do. When in Denver, in the winter, we ski, snow board, or go tubing, and please don’t be like my boss who said, black people ski?!?! That’s like saying bigfoot is real – black people ski and have skied for decades). In the warmer months we hike or take in shows at the greek inspired Red Rocks arena or go to one of the many food festivals. And don’t forget the dispensaries, if that’s what floats your boat. One visit to Denver will not be enough. Denver will quickly become an annual destination for a laid back good time with no shortage of things to do, places to visit and food to eat (do yourself a favor and look up Rocky Mountain oysters – Bon Apetite!).

Cool place to be for a week or two, especially if you are into outdoors pursuits. City is pretty clean and definitely not crowded. Ubers are NYC level expensive though but the train service from the airport into downtown Denver is clean and efficient and has been free for the summer. Food choices are plentiful though mostly tex-mex and bars and such. Pricing isn’t bad for regular spots. If you are vegan you gotta work with whatever you find. Didn’t see any central and pronounced spots for that. Hotels in downtown Denver are also not bad. They range from around 130/night all the way up to the 400s and more but I found decent accomodations on the lower end in a Tru by Hilton which was pretty nice

I think that Denver, CO was a great place to visit. I felt comfortable and welcomed at every place I went. I think the Denver Botanical Gardens were incredible. I’d love to see them in late summer or fall. The Denver Art Museum had wonderful exhibits and is an amazing architectural piece as well. The Thai Monkey Club had tasty food.

Denver was never on my initial travel list. I think I start all my domestic travel stories this way lol. Denver had a lot to do. My friend and I booked a full day Breckinridge Tour via Aspire Tours and it was amazing. We traveled during one of the last ski weekends (late April) so I recommend going a little earlier. It was still lots of snow on the ground and it was actively snowing when we got to the mountains. I read a few reviews here that the food is Colorado isn’t good, so my expectations weren’t high but from my experience, the food was great. Check out Syrup and Denver Biscuit Co. for breakfast. The margaritas at 3 Margaritas (in 16th street) are absolutely amazing and the pizza at Happy Camper was delicious! My friend and I walked down 16th street mall and visited the Capitol to see the 13th step which is exactly 1 mile above sea level. The entire downtown area smells like weed so indulge as you wish! Of course we went into Union station and a couple of local stores in the area. Everything in Denver is pretty inexpensive including Uber’s so we mostly took those. However we stayed in the heart of downtown so most things were within walking distance.

Visited Colorado during the winter and had an amazing time. If you are an outdoors person, you’ll have tons of things to do. We went hiking to the top of “eagles nest” and the view was beautiful. We also went snowmobiling and tubing at the Winter Park resort. If you are an herbalist, then it makes the trip even more fun, but can get costly. A rental car is recommended so you can get around. Would definitely go back during the summer because all the locals said the outdoor activities are even more fun.
Food was ok, nothing spectacular and we didn’t go for nightlife.

I just got back recently from Denver, Colorado and had a great time. When you arrive at Denver International Airport, if you didn’t rent a car don’t bother ubering it can be pricy. If your hotel is in downtown Denver and if you are comfortable with city transportation, take the train for 10.50 to union station and take the bus to your hotel. My friend and I stayed at Hotel Indigo in Downtown Denver. It was conveniently located one block from Union Station. We choose this location so we would not have to uber our way around town. Our hotel was very beautiful. We stayed in a two bedroom room with city views, so our walls facing the city were actually 6ft windows. Absolutely beautiful. We paid $600 for the room for 3 nights.

    Things to do:
We went to Red Rock Amphitheater around 12:30pm. It was pretty busy, but beautiful. For all my nature lovers and hikers, this is your spot. Yes this is a concert venue, however, they are open regardless if an event is schedule there or not. It is free to visit which is a plus. We also went out to Auroa and went on a sunset horseback riding adventure at 12 miles stables. This was AMAZING. The price was $69 before tax and they include a gratuity charge for the sunset ride. They have other options that do not include gratuity. (I don’t recommend doing this if the temperature is cold outside). I enjoyed myself, but I was also freezing. One my favorite things I did while there, is I visited the Denver Selfie Museum. I love interactive museums like this and had a lot of fun. The cost was $30 for the weekend and there were about 25 interactive spots to take photos. You don’t have to reserve online, and we stayed longer than an hour and no one said anything.

    Food:
The food in Denver was okay. I’m a big foodie so I always to to find the best eat. With that being said, the BEST place to go get breakfast is Denver Biscuit Company. You wont regret it. We went to location on Colfax, and if you choose this location, it is best to note that it is in the Atomic Cowboy building. The wait times can be extremely long; however, they have a “join the waitlist” option online and its best to reserve is about an hour before you hope to arrive to help cut down on the wait (this location is small, but I promise it’s worth the wait)

    Nightlife:
The vibes of Denver to me were more bar vibes which mean no dressing up unless you really wanted to. There were a few lounges to dress up at, but downtown Denver is all bars and rooftops. Most of the locations we went to played pretty good music. Some of the spots we went to were Brothers Bar & Grill, 45thirty rooftop, and TapFourteen

Overall, I really enjoyed my trip. I’ll definitely go back, but I’ll go to Colorado Springs this time to go hiking.

All i want to say is that Colorado is a must do. it’s a great way to escape and bond with friends. I ended up booking a two family house for a group of friends.it was nice just playing games drinking and enjoying each other company. the weather was nice. it was warm during the days and cold at night in the city. when you drive up into the mountains expect a big temperature drop. snowmobiling was a dope experience out their. i have no complaints about denver

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the Denver area. We stayed downtown at a Marriott property (thanks Marriott) and the stay was wonderful! I honestly went to Denver for one reason….to head over to Winter Park and hit the Rocky Mountains to snowmobile (something I’ve never done before). But it was something I had to check off my bucket list! Snowmobiling over 12,000+ feet above sea level…can’t beat that!! The company I used for this service is called Grand Adventures.

I went on a cabin trip in Denver, Colorado and stayed at the Keystone Lodge which I highly recommend. The house was amazing and it was through an airbnb. To keep the trip cost effective I would recommend buying food from the grocery store and cooking, luckily they have a super Walmart which was great. Try to plan a trip to go either ice skating ($15) or snow tubing ($35), you won’t be disappointed. If you are a thrill seeker like myself I would highly recommend the snowmobile tour with snowmobiledenver.com, price is $150 pp and it’s for 2 hours. You get to see the mountains which is breath taking. I would also recommend checking out a cannibus tour just to relax and see how marijuana is grown since it’s legal in Colorado. The cannibus tour is $60 which doesn’t break the bank at all.

Went to the aquarium in Denver. They have a beautiful restaurant area to dine with fishes and stingrays in the tanks surrounding you. There are a few shows and an opportunity to go diving. The first time here in 11/2017, I took a shuttle from Denver airport to Breckenridge. Stayed at The Bivvi Hostel, which had an outside hot tub facing the mountain and a good continental breakfast. Walked around at night solo and never felt unsafe. There are free shuttles available also. I did see a fox walking back to the hostel one night, but it ignored me. Paid $60 for 1.5 hrs nordic ski lessons at Breckenridge Nordic Center. I prefer this over downhill skiing. I had a great time and it’s more scenic. Afterwards, I went snowshoeing. Paid $125 for ziplining at Top of the Rockies. Ziplining in the winter landscape was beautiful. I also went snowmobiling (unable to recall the company). That was fun, but it was sooo cold. The handle bars are heated, but my hands still felt numb. Each company has equipment available to rent. I went back to Breck in 1/2018. This time, my family rented a truck and a cabin. They did not have any trouble driving in the snow. The roads were well maintained. I enjoyed dogsledding with Good Times Adventures ($90). You have an opportunity to drive the sled and sit on it. The next day, went ice fishing with Big Ed’s Fishing ($83). My family and I caught rainbow trout and salmon. It was much harder to catch fishes because of the technique. However, I would try it again. Went nordic skiing at Golden Run Nordic Center and to the ice castles in Dillon. It would be better to experience the ice castles during the day for photo purposes, but they are lighted at night. The food at Empire Burger and The Lost Cajun was good. There is a pastry shop next to the Lost Cajun. Be sure to try their hot chocolate! Even though it was a lot of snow and cold, I feel that that it was not bone piercing cold.

When In Colorado I wasn’t really in Denver. I was in Colorado Spring. Stayed in a place called the Glen Eyrie. This place was fantastic. The scenery around and the Castle were beautiful. I’m sure there is more to discover in this state. I got there by bus. Get you airplane ticket way in advance for cheaper price. Good restaurants are affordable price. Always make plane and save up for trips ahead.
