Dominica is great for relaxation, sure there are plenty of activities like hiking and scuba diving but if you want to slow things down and chill you can easily do that too. My husband spent a week at the Tamrind Tree Inn (www.tamarindtreedominica.com). The rooms have an AC unit, which was great at night but during the day and evening we spent a lot of time sitting on the veranda, swimming in the pool or relaxing by the ocean which is just steps away. The Tamrind Tree Inn is owned by a very kind Dutch woman. At first I was a little put off by staying at a place on this largely Black populated island that was not Black owned but the owner walked around and made each guest feel like they were home and yes there is a Tamrind Tree on the property and she serves plenty of delicious cold Tamrind tea. Staying at this hotel was a nice relaxing get away.

You must do the Indian River Tour in Dominica! You’ll learn a lot and it’s a great, relaxing and authentic experience for something to do on the island

Dominica is an adventure from beginning to end. The people are very warm, welcoming and very friendly. Black sandy beaches, rivers, waterfalls are untouched beauty at every turn. Dominica is full of culture and the only island where you can visit the territory of the indigenous Carib people which was pretty awesome. The food is great and if you love nature you will love Dominica.

Dominica, the nature island is the home of the nicest people I have ever met. If you are looking for rest/relaxation, loads of nature and time away from the hustle and bustle of life, Dominica is the place to be. The island is filled with gorgeous greens and water, and will have you feeling instantly at peace. If you want to take a stroll on a beautiful beach, have dinner in the city of Roseau or be immersed with nature, book your flight to Dominica.
