Harare, my hometown has a good night life that is for sure. But for me Zimbabwe the trip was mainly to go to Victoria Falls , went there when I was little and got to go back when I was much older for my Uncles Wedding the experience is more enjoyable when you are older.

Victoria falls is very beautiful and one of the main features people come down to Zimbabwe for, between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The area is very calm and relaxing , you can bungee jump on the bridge between Zambia and Zimbabwe . And you can go across to Zambia and have lunch at the Livingston Hotel which serves great food and a very great atmosphere of the outdoors and horses.

People in Zimbabwe are very friendly and smart, this is a country that prides themselves in education. So you will gain so much wisdom and knowledge on your trip there and great service from the locals.

Harare is the capital of Zimbabwe and it’s where you land when visiting any area near Zimbabwe! However, we didn’t spend much time here, we ventured out and took a flight to Victoria Falls, a must visit when visiting Zimbabwe, from Harare its about an 8 hour drive. I agree with the other reviewers that the locals are the nicest people and will definitely love to help you with any tips or recommendations. And big tip! please bring cash!!
Also be sure to visit the Chiremba Balancing rocks its about 30 minutes out of Harare, so interesting and great photo opportunities here!

I recently travelled to Zimbabwe and had the best time of my life. I understand the news portrays the economic hardships but if you hang with a local and read the next 10 tios you will have a fantastic time
    1. Take US dollars and change it into bonds or phone currency – this triples your money.
    2. There are some good Air BnBs but Cresta Lodge is pretty neat for location and they have a pool
    3. Go horse riding at mukuvisi woodlands, costs $15 mobile money which realistically cost me about £7 – lasts an hour and it’s in the city centre
    4. Have sadza at Gavas – eat the local food made the best possible way, my favourite was peanut butter rice and beef stew with vegetables
    5. Borrowdale village offers food courts, and shopping – all pretty mainstream – try to stick to the local shops for aunthentic produce.
    6. National gallery – £1 entrance and a great gift shop you can’t really go wrong. Immerse yourself in local art
    7. Night life; pablos and queen of hearts has the best sushi
    8. Zimbabweans are friendly, they will embrace you. They can tell if you aren’t from there and they like it
    9. Chibuku is the local beer ( Home Made beer ) you have to try it
    10. Food lovers market has all you can wish for in terms of perfectly washed apples and all you can dream of but if you want the authentic market experience then make a trip to Mbare,

Tip for outside Harare; if you can fly to Vic falls for 3 nights – only an hour. stay at the elephant hills hotel and eat at Boma (expensive $100 pp but good)
