The Egyptian people there loved the fact that i was a black American traveling. They had never met anyone like me and they were very excited to meet a black American. I never felt uncomfortable while staying there. The name of the hotel i stayed at was the Makadi Palace Hotel. I actually got an all inclusive deal from Munich, Germany. So my flight , accommodations, and all you can eat meals was only 450€/$475. The staff was also really kind to me.The staff was very helpful whenever I gad a question about finding things in the resort. They also shated tons of stories about their culture with me.

Hurgada was a nice city. Nice because it is sitting on the Red Sea and they have many all inclusive hotels for very cheap there. “Sunny Days” is the name of the all inclusive hotel in which we stayed. The city is Small and not yet fully developed so do not expect many things to do as far as nightlife. Black friendly but not entirely. Knowing your a tourist, They will try and hustle you for everything as far as tourist goods and services. While there, remember everything has a bargain price. Shop around before making tourist purchases! The same head scarf i bought at the hotel was 500 Egyptian pounds.. it sold on the street for 20 EP

Hurghada is a small 3 world city in Egypt which is growing in some areas of more modern day society. Theres a lot of buildings that are empty and look as if there being constructed but it’s not in fact the foreign owners went broke and now it’s just buildings standing. Hurghada is about a 6hr drive from and a Cairo/1hr propeller flight). Me and my girlfriend stayed in a amazing hotel called Magic Beach and the employees there were very welcoming especially because we’re black. They love laughing & joking just like us. It was like staying in your own mansion but having assistants every day. If you leave somewhere early they would make sure you had food before you left all you have to do is tell them the time you’re leaving. The hotel also have employees that will take you to the best clubs. There’s also a camel at the hotel. We went snorkeling, swam with the dolphins, and went to a area called Marina which has a series of different things to do and eat. There’s also a lot of people who’s more Arabain than tan so don’t expect them to be as black. We met a taxi driver named Humdi but he wasn’t driving an actual taxi car it’s a car owned by a company similar to uber but you can wave them/him down just like a taxi driver. He showed us around Hurghada with no problem and for 400 Egyptian Pounds his number is 00201067553904. You’ll love his personality. Lastly be careful with souvenir stores they will give you prices that are not worth what they’re giving you.
We really enjoyed Hurghada so much that we wanted to stay longer.
