the greatest thing that lagos offer you is relaxation with its beautiful and unique beaches (praia batata, praia dona ana, praia dos estudantes, praia do camilo) and the amazing Ponta da piedade.
Staying in a hotel (the lagos avenida) with a view of the sea is super relaxing, because it is a small city and it is not noisy.
I visited lagos alone and I would do it again it is very quiet and safe.

Lagos, Portugal was a lot of fun. I went to a sight called the “End of the World” where it’s provides one of the greatest sunsets I’ve ever seen. I also went on a Booze Cruise there which was a lot of fun. I do recommend going during the Summer time because it did get cold at night.

Lagos, Portugal is beautiful above everything else. Of all the places I have traveled in Europe this is the most picturesque. I drove 3.5 hours from Rota Spain to get here. Having a car in the Algarve was definitely helpful. We stayed in an Airbnb near Praia de Rocha beach. Great location. Super close to the beach and a nice boardwalk with tons of restaurants, bars, and clubs. Be careful when going out. We were all offered cocaine and other drugs when we were just walking down the street.
Make sure to check out Ponta de Piedade and Praia de Camilo beaches. For Ponta de Piedade you’ll have to walk down and up 180 stairs to actually get to the beautiful view. Its excessive but definitely worth it. For Praia de Camilo you can get a beautiful view from the top. However, if you actually want to relax on the beach you’ll have to walk down the very very large flight of stairs.
We did a kayaking tour while here. It was the highlight of our trip. They took us through multiple caves and beaches that were breathtaking. Highly recommend. This is the link – https://www.lagosticketshop.pt/kioskatividades We also stopped on one of the beaches to snorkel and swim. While some opted to do that I chose to do a photoshoot and get the perfect instagram picture. The Caves are gorgeous.

All in all Lagos/ Algarve Portugal is just a beautiful relaxing place to visit. You’ll enjoy this beautiful beach town but beware of the nude beaches!
