Moorea is one of my favorite islands in The French Polynesia. Manny people don’t know about this hidden gem which is a quick ferry ride from the island of Tahiti. Bora Bora is probably the most popular island in The French Polynesia, but Moorea has a lot to offer. It has everything from white sand beaches, clear lagoons, snorkeling, ATV rides, good food and amazing pineapple liquor. As a Black traveler, I enjoyed the warmth and generosity of the Polynesian people along with the breathtaking views. Moorea is a beautiful destination with many things to do for Adventurers, Groups and Romantics. Moorea has everything from ATV’ing in the rainforest to jetskiing around Motu’s and even private island rental experiences. There are several luxury resorts in Moorea that offer the Overwater Bunglaows that French Polynesia is known for. The island also has great dining options. Be sure to check out Moorea Beach Cafe by Bruno Jamais for an amazing dining experience on the water. The staff there helped me plan an incredible group lunch for my friends and even arranged private transportation for us.
