I visited Niagara Falls in Canada. We flew into NY and took a taxi across the border. It was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast and we could see the falls from the B&B. We went in March during spring break so it was nice and cool and not very crowded. We normally try to take public transportation at least once no matter where we visit if they have it and so we rode the bus a couple of times. The people were friendly and the Falls were beautiful especially at night. We ate at the Skylon Tower – amazing view, so-so food, great service.

it’s okay, I would not go out of my way to visit Ontario but if your job or you just want to go do something go check it out but I would not consider it a must see place if you are well traveled.

Everytime I’ve gone to Ontario has been to visit family and it’s always been FREEZING!! FUR-EEZ-ING!!! I mean below 10 degrees cold. Frozen streets and all. Theres an inside soccer field that’s cute to take kids or host a indoor soccer game. Shopping isnt too bad nor expensive. Pricing is a bit higher than in the U.S. but not too over the top. The food is better here than in Toronto, in my opinion.

Niagara Falls was a sight to see. I highly recommend this for anyone who likes checking out the wonders of the world. I took a plane to Toronto. Rented a car and drive to the falls. It’s about a 1 hour drive which is not really bad at all. You have to pay to park once you get there but thats all you really have to pay for unless you plan to eat and buy souvenirs. It would be a good idea to bring a extra set of cloths because you get pretty wet just walking along side the falls with the mist and everything. I recommend getting a Airbnb in Toronto. Everything is soo nice there. We stayed in a condo in Lake Ontario and it was amazing. Toronto can be pricey so def take enough.

Toronto is like New York is a busy city especially in the summer time , I flew in toronto for a special occasion which is called caribana which has been going on since 1967 I took part in the Caribbean festival and walked in the parade and it was amazing there was people from everywhere an experience not to be missed. I flew in on swoop airline because the tickets were cheaper for a two way ticket it cost 216 which took us to the outskirts airport where you can take a metro bus which would cost 21 or you can rent a car which is what I did.
Once I got in i went to my first night out called jab jab which is a part of the long weekend festivities then the following day August 2nd is the caribana parade which I took part in. Then the following day I tour the cn tower that was build in 1976 the tallest building in Canada and amongst the others in the world it cost 38 to tour but 15 additional to go to the sky deck I do recommend the tour its absolutely beautiful and to get a city view stop visit the cabana bar and pool which is very nice with a spectacular view across the water . Toronto also holds once of the best china town and I’ll be back to do more touring

If you live in the United States or Canada and you’re looking for a quick weekend getaway that’s not too expensive, Niagara Falls Ontario Canada maybe the ideal choice with lots to do. While there, Clifton Hill provides a clean mixture of kid friendly activities as well as fun bars and breweries. The falls are within walking distance and can been seen from almost any restaurant or bar you choose to dine in. The falls offer, the Horn blower which is a boat ride in the falls, Zip lining as well as various tours that take you behind the falls. At night the falls are illuminated in the colors of the American as well as the Canadian Flag. The experience of it is soo relaxing as well as breathtaking. There’s also the Niagara Skywheel and Skyline Tower that offers amazing views of this god given spectacle.!! Niagara is a must see!! summer or winter, its just as beautiful.

I traveled to Canada for a 3-day weekend. Flew into Toronto early on a Friday morning (arrived at 8:30AM) and rented a car to drive to The Blue Mountains which is 2hrs North of Toronto. Although it rained on/off all weekend the experience was still good. I stayed at the Westin Trillium House hotel. The customer service was very good. Complimentary water upon arrival. They have valet service for C$ 20 ($14.99 USD) a day or self parking in an underground garage for C$15 ($11.24 USD) a day.

Since I only planned to stay one night in Blue Mountain, as soon as we checked into our room we put our stuff down and headed back out. Like I said it was raining so the hotel provided us with nice durable umbrellas for the day.

First stop was wine tasting at Georgian Hills Vineyard. I made a reservation ahead of time for the “Simply Sampling” tasting. This included 5 different wines and each time we tried a wine it was paired with different cheeses, salami, crackers, jam or chocolate. It was very tasty and filling. This all cost C$28 ($21 USD). The service was excellent and the host was very knowledgeable about wines and provided some history on the vineyard itself.

Second stop was suppose to be the Scenic Caves to hike across the Suspension Bridge. However, the rain was coming down quite hard at the moment so we went for lunch instead.
A nice couple recommended a place called Brgrz Inc., they only serve burgers and fries (one vegetarian option). This was one the best burgers I have ever had!!! The cost was about C$15 ($11 USD) for a burger and fries.

Third stop was Scandinave Spa at Blue Mountain. They offer different rate packages for massages. I was only interested in the bath access service which included access to the hot tubs, pools and steam rooms for C$65 ($55 USD). The wait time could be up to 3hrs long depending on the day. They don’t take advance reservations for the bath service unfortunately. They do offer to put your name on a wait-list and call you once they get to your name. You have up to 1hr to make it back once they call and they’re kind enough to provide a list of local activities to do in the area. Our wait-time was about 45mins but our hotel was only 5mins away so it wasn’t a problem. The spa itself is nice but not as big as I thought. They have a zero cellphone policy so all my pictures from the spa had to be taken on the low (haha).

Later that evening we headed over to one of the local restaurants in the same plaza as our hotel called Kaytoo. One of the guys working at Brgrz Inc recommended it and he happened to be the DJ there too. The food and music was very good. It was a mix of pop and hip hop type of music.

Saturday morning we headed out to drive back to Toronto. For breakfast we stopped at this place called The Great Canadian Bagel. The bagels are made fresh and they have a variety of tasty flavors. I had the jalapeño and cheddar bagel with bacon and eggs, a banana muffin and a tea for $6 USD, inexpensive and good.

Once we arrived back to Toronto we returned the rental car, since uber and walking was more convenient in downtown Toronto. In Toronto we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and I wasn’t too crazy about the service. I only stayed there because I’m a Hilton Honors member. We arrived to the hotel at Noon but couldn’t check-in early because no rooms were available so waited around until 2:30pm to check-in.

The first place we visited in Toronto was the CN Tower, which is the world’s highest outdoor walk on building. We had reservations for the Edgewalk experience. It’s the most adventurous thing to do in Toronto. They don’t offer refunds unfortunately due to weather so we still went through with it despite the views being mostly of clouds. The experience overall was very good and the staff was so nice and accommodating. This experience was a bit pricey C$195 ($165 USD) but I would definitely do it again on a nicer day.

Overall I would definitely say this was a good trip filled with both fun and relaxing activities and very good food.

I would recommend using a credit card or changing your money to Canadian dollars prior to traveling. Some places don’t accept U.S. dollars and if they do the change will be provided in Canadian dollars.

I went to Ontario Canada just so I can see the falls . Omg It is so beautiful and you must visit . I went during the winter which I will not recommend because It was very cold but I made the best of It . The entire trip was affordable because I flew Allegiant to the New York side and then I got a taxi to cross the border for about $45 . The food during my stay wasn’t too far off from the American dish which I was not expecting lol . I stayed on the strip at the Sheraton which made It easier to go for adventures. Other than the strip and the casino there really wasn’t much . It’s hard to find WiFi when you go out compare to the US so call the Uber in your hotel room . The people are really nice and are willing to help with directions if needed . I went on a helicopter ride with champagne over the falls It was beautiful. It was about $170 for two people on Groupon. I recommend booking your hotel on Groupon because some include free wine tasting , free chocolate factory tour etc… Also, Niagara Falls is a great place to take kids during the summer . I would totally recommend. Be sure to have dinner at Elements on the falls . Great place !!!

If have US Dollars be sure to exchange at the casino before any purchase or you will lose money .

Awesome place to visit! Definitely don’t come in the winter unless freezing weather is your thing. People are super friendly(their Canadians so of course) lots of things to do. Take a walking tour to get to know a bit of history.

Niagara Falls, Ontario was a beautiful long weekend trip ( since we’re in driving distance). The views were stunning, the adventure factor was off the charts, but the tourist tax killed everything. When traveling to NF plan ahead. We spend sooo much extra on everything we purchased because of the tacked on tourism tax in addition to regular tax.

Toronto was a dope getaway. I stayed at the Holiday Inn downtown which was very clean. The flight was $280 roundtrip from Norfolk Intl’. It was so much to do. I was able to go visit the CN Tower, the Casa Loma, the ROM Museum, and the Niagara Falls. I booked a tour for $44 to go visit the Niagara Falls and the town of Niagara. At the Niagara Falls a restaurant call “Elements of the Falls” had some amazing food. I definitely recommend it if you visit Niagara Falls.
