Greensboro, North Carolina has a rich history within the Civil Rights era and the only way to not repeat the past is to learn from it! The International Civil Rights Center & Museum, and iconic Landmark, is a 

“comprehensive Civil Rights museum and an innovative social justice educational organization devoted to the understanding and advancement of civil and human rights at home and around the world. It commemorates the Feb. 1, 1960, sit-ins at a whites-only lunch counter in Greensboro, by the N.C. A&T Four students.” 

The restaurant that housed the counter that refused service to the students of the A&T Four. To add an extra dose of history, you can swing by the campus of North Carolina A&T State University to see the statue that was erected in their honor.
