I am Lawrence and I am the founder and CEO of Green Book Global, the first ever black travel travel review. It is a travel platform that was created after I quit my consulting job of over 10 years to travel to over 30 countries and all 7 continents (including Antarctica).
As I was traveling around the world it I noticed how difficult it was to determine what racism could be like or what my experience would be like in a destination as a black traveler. Knowing that other black travelers have this same concern, I created Green Book Global.
Similar to the original Negro Motorist Green Book, first published in 1936, we want to help make travel as easy as possible for the Black Traveler but on a global scale.
What makes us unique is that instead of rating activities you rate cities. So destinations have scores and tips for categories like Adventure, Relaxation, etc. to even what is like “Traveling While Black”. Currently, we have 5000+ travel tips from black travelers across over 400 destinations. We also offer cash back to users for booking trips with us and even pay members for leaving destination reviews.
