I traveled to Guam from South Korea in summer 2017 for a week. The flight was about 3-4 hours. Going through customs/immigration i didn’t even need a passport as an American citizen/federal employee. The airport is also open 24 hours.

The first thing i noticed in Guam in July was the humidity. Carry water with you regularly. The best thing about Guam is its landscape. A Small island you can get around quickly. There is so much to do with it. Its beaches (fugita beach ?), cliffs, snorkeling, beach volleyball at the Beach Bar, Sengsong pågat, Tarzan Falls, etc. The beach water was warm. The sunsets are picturesque. The underground cave water feels like holy water.

If you go the Airbnb roure, it’s affordable and cheap. Go with friends though. There are some questionable areas possibly not fond of tourists. On that note though, the locals (Chamorra people) treated me like family. Liberation week was right before i arrived. It’s like their fourth of July except for a whole week. They offered me food and liquor on the beach as a kind gesture of oceania hospitality.

Exotic dancing is a big industry in Guam. It is what it is. Thus, escorts are everywhere. I’ve never seen so many thong bikinis on a beach until i went to Guam. There are massage parlors flooding the strip and around fugita beach whereabouts. More of the masseuse type and not the massage therapist type. As long as you stay away from the weird stuff, it’s a great small lowkey getaway for a reasonable price.

I came to Guam to Relax!!!!!!! I went for two days arriving from Tokyo Narita airport on Delta Air lines. The water is amazing. Clear beautiful water for days. Most of the time I was there I just sat on the beach or was in the ocean. My hotel was on the beach so it was super convenient. If you want to relax and do nothing for a couple of days on a not so populated island this is your place. Food is decent and there are shopping malls and clubs but you can do that at home. GO to the beach and bask in the natural beauties that Guam has to offer.
