We vacationed here in July and had a great time. We stayed at Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing. The hotel was nice. We had a nice balcony off our room. If you are traveling with children I recommend taking them to WonderWorks. Go that morning because your ticket allows you to go in and out for that day. If you like adventure check out Frith Adventures, the ropes course and zip line is fun, so is the ninja warrior wall, but be careful on it I took a hard fall because I couldn’t hold on. The Top of the Rock tour in really nice, very peaceful and beautiful pictures of nature. We had a great time. We encountered very few people of color but we didn’t have any issues. Make sure you visit the Amish Country Store I didn’t find any special places to eat, we liked Landry’s and Joe’s Crab Shack but those are chain restaurants. The pizza at Mellow Mushrooms was also good but it’s another chain. You may want to check out Hurts Doughnuts for a little snack. If you like your doughnut warm make sure you tell them before you get it they can’t take it back once it leaves them. The guy was really nice and offered to give me a heated one from behind the counter. Check out the Five and Dime store on the Promenade Landing Strip if you like candy from childhood, I was born in 1966 and I found some of my favorites. This was our third trip to Branson and we will go back.
I recently had a trip here in September 2024. Yes, it’s full of Caucasian people, but I didn’t feel hate. I had a few good conversations with locals. My husband was even giving a free experience at a VR gaming place he was interested in for his birthday. The people there did look, but they kept their distance, so if they didn’t like us, we couldn’t tell. It was so relaxing that my husband currently wants to go back and do I. I enjoyed the hikes and nature walks. Very quiet. Don’t let the fear of not seeing someone who looks like you get in the way of your life. If you enjoy nature and quiet, give Branson a try.
Went here with my wife and felt like i was in Get Out.
Had a resort at Westlake booked for 7 days and didn’t stay longer than 24 hrs. We tried to ask around and even drove around downtown in the city area. Peopled states and we left
Many racists live here. Confederate flags and Trump flags everywhere. Very right-wing city. Beware of the Ozarks area in general.
