Calgary is awesome! There’s surprisingly a LOT to do and even some cool places to have lunch and dinner. Banff is a local national park that has gorgeous mountains and lakes that are breath taking. I went to Canada initially on a work trip but was able to capitalize on some great sight seeing and venturing out. Canada isn’t the cheapest place to visit but it’s well worth the trip because it’s a lot different than back home. The locals are very friendly and welcoming to tourists as they’re happy to show you some of the attractions that make them famous. Some people enjoy it here and some don’t but it’s worth it to go and find out for yourself just make sure you don’t forget your jacket! Safe travels

I absolutely love Calgary! There is so much to do and even more things to eat. The best time to go is early July, during Stampede. It usually begins in the first week of July, just after Canada Day.

During Stampede, the city really comes alive! Just about every celebrity you can think of will make an appearance somewhere in the city. On the stampede grounds themselves, the coke stage host a variety of free concerts and the BMO Centre will have a line up of your favourite musicians and performers. Everywhere you go, people are rocking their plaid shirts, a pair of jeans, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat! The stampede parade starts of the 10 days of stampede on a high note. It starts early in the morning around 6am and is usually wrapping up by 10am. It is usually followed by free breakfast events all throughout the city.

If you’re going to visit Calgary, make sure you take some time to walk down 8th avenue and 17 avenue. This is where all the fun happens. Both streets are decorated with a wide range of restaurants, bars and clubs, with some of the best drinks you can ask for. Make sure you try the drink called bulldog before you lave the city!
