Clearwater, Florida

We went to Clearwater Florida last month we stayed at the Dolphin Sands Ascend Collection Hotel. It was very clean the staff was nice and very welcoming. Definitely get a ocean view.They also sell discounted tickets to the aquarium. Since it’s a tourist area some things can be a bit pricey. There are quite a few restaurants in the area but I was visiting my Brother/Sister in law who stays in Tampa so we are at their house a lot. I would definitely recommend Crabby’s Bar & Grill, and Cabanas Coastal Grill (in the hotel) they also have a Beach Birds Beach Bar outside. For nightly entertainment just a few minutes away is Shepherd’s Hotel who has a live band everynight and its absolutely free. They have several boat excursions, dolphin 🐬 boats sightseeing cruises lunch cruises and dinner cruises. We did the little toot dolphin cruise the Calypso Queen lunch cruise and the Starlight dinner cruise since we were celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary. Prices vary depending on the time of day. We had no issues while we were there so I would definitely say it is people of color friendly.
