Haverhill is a hidden gem on the North Shore of Massachusetts. It borders New Hampshire, off I-495. The Merrimack River travels through the city. Though the town is majority white, there is a pretty diverse mix- a big Latino population and some Africans.

Downtown Haverhill is the place to be for food. You’ll find a variety- some Asian restaurants, American, Mexican, Texas style- you name it. To be honest, some of the restaurants are hit and miss. One of my favorite restaurants is Stacks- they have good loaded fries. My husband likes The Hidden Pig. The latter is more reasonably- priced with unique items on their menu. They have peanut butter and jelly wings!

Although Haverhill is not known for their nightlife, some of these restaurants do turn into clubs. If coming into Haverhill, downtown for food is probably the best bet. There aren’t too many activities as it is a small town.
