Kissimmee, Florida — Family Vacation
Our family had a wonderful experience in Kissimmee! This was our first large family vacation, with 22 family members, adults and children, and our vacation home was absolutely perfect for us.
As a Black family traveling together, feeling comfortable and welcomed is always important, and we had a great experience. We had no issues during our stay and felt comfortable enjoying the area as a family.
The house gave everyone enough room to relax, spend time together, and still have their own space. Most importantly, the kids loved it! No complaints from the youngsters, which says a lot when you’re traveling with a group this large. 😂
Kissimmee was also a great location for everything we had planned. We visited Universal Epic Universe, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Cocoa Beach, and having a home base where the entire family could come back together made the trip even more special.
Recommendation: Absolutely! Kissimmee worked wonderfully for our large family vacation. I would recommend it for families looking for a central location for the Orlando theme parks while still having space to enjoy quality family time.
Warning: Give yourself plenty of travel time when heading to the parks, especially with a large group, and plan some downtime. You don’t have to fill every minute—some of our best memories came simply from being together.
We came with 22 people and left with 22 people, still speaking to each other. That’s a successful family vacation! ✈️

Very dark history here. The area is now mixed race, but the trees around this courthouse have stories to tell. The locals can share stories about all of the lynchings that have happened here, and it’s very haunted. My mother used to work this courthouse and experienced a lot of paranormal activity.

Coronado Springs resort on west buena vista blvd in Kissimmee Florida is a great family resort that is safe for Black people. The staff is friendly and proactive in assisting you the minute you hit the entrance. The rooms are nice and the grounds are pristine. The room staff is very cordial also.

I took a road trip from Annapolis MD to Kissimmee FL. We stayed at a brook total was very nice.
Stopped at a Holiday Inn express near Florence SC, ext 170 or the next one up. Very nice
Issue was coming back. 95S no mile marker not signs of any can. 23 miles from the Bucees in near that same exit around 7PM (still day light). Something hits me while driving in the left hand lane. Big gash.
I called USAA roadside assistance. The person dispatched to the call told me nothing was open. He couldn’t tow me to Bucees because it was to far. I told I belittled and talked down to him when I was attempting help. It gave total sundown vibes.
The tech changed his tone when I put my father on the phone.
The this time. I did not feel stay. I did a Google search for 24hr tire shops.
Called the number online, quick response. Explained my situation. He asked me to share my location and take a picture of the tire info. Within a hour, technician there, tire changed and back on the road! The name of store was just 24hr tire service. If you ever find yourself in emergency tire needs on 95 in SC, call them!
Be easy on in SC 95.

[Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista South] This clean hotel offers many breakfast options, including an omelet bar and waffle stations. It also features a daily happy hour with snacks. The hotel is conveniently located to many shopping, and dining options. The hotel is centrally located between the theme parks and the airport.
There is a wide array of customers, which made us feel comfortable and reassured our dollars were welcomed as a valued customer.

Have traveled to Kissimmee FL twice very nice place stayed at West gate resorts both times they have several pools a water park, restaurants, store, and spa all on site Disney and cocoa Beach are both close by
