We weren’t able to star gaze but we don’t regret the drive to Mt Cook. The hotel was lovely with majestic views. The picture was taken from my balcony. Just driving to the hotel was worth the adventure. We had great drinks in the lounge and dinner in the grill just a short walk away. Would highly recommend. If you’re outdoorsy there is a lot to do here for hiking and camping.
