I stayed in Oak Ridge at a Holiday Inn. Everyone was super nice and friendly. There definitely was obvious, weird, lonnnng stares but it just made me feel like a celebrity lol.. everyone spoke that I spoke to and many older yt men struck up conversation while waiting in line at the grocery store and gas station. There were Trump stickers scattered here and there and even a billboard outside of the city but I just know I wouldn’t be out at night.

Traveling While Black
During a road trip I stopped at exit 117 in Raccoon Valley Tennessee bc I saw a billboard advertising cheap gas. I don’t care of gas is free, don’t stop. I have never felt so fearful in my life. 1st off way too many pick ups with Trump decals, bumper stickers, and flags. 2nd it’s Appalachian country, I got so many hateful glares, again I literally feared For me and my son’s life. Do yourself a favor and fill up before hitting this part of Tennessee.
