This is a good half day trip just outside of the Southgate of Yosemite national park. There is parking at and around the trail. This trail has two water features— a watwr waterfall witches 1015 minutes away from the start of the trail which you can actually go down to the bottom of; and then there is a longer hike it takes you to more of the lagoon-styled fall. This is a moderate trail with some occasional trees or challenging areas.
People approve friendly along with the trail. It is recommended to travel or hike with someone because there are they’re having signs of mountain lions there (I’ve never seen any. Animals are been told that someone has had any kind of wildlife experience). The trail usually has people maybe that you will see every 10 to 15 minutes so you never alone unless you’re going really early or super late.
This is north of Oakhurst, a town of about 13K people with most of your modern conveniences, including Marriott and Hilton small hotels. The whole community population is mostly white, but because of all the tourism from Yosemite, there is a pretty diverse population of Asians, Indians, but only a small of black folks.
I’ve come to the area many many times and even stayed in Oakhurst several times I’ve never had any kind of issues.
As a bonus, there is a lake in between the trail and Oakhurst, which takes maybe 10 minutes to get to that has a small resort and camping grounds in the area.

Traveling While Black
When we were at a supermarket there, a lady told us that we needed to have protection. Bear spray but not for bears. She said people go missing all the time and that traveling three women was not safe for us. We were treated well enough at the best western but definitely felt unsafe after that. Lots of stares it was creepy before she said something. Scary after she did.
