I took a solo trip here in April of 2025. I stayed at the Tides Inn and Suites. The hotel was nice but the vibe of the city was off. People were not friendly and in one art museum the employee was extremely rude. It is a pretty location but it is not a place I would recommend as a solo trip.
I went back in June 2026 with a group of friends and the vibe was still similar.
