Thomasville, NC is a small town but it does not fit into the description of a sundown town. My family and I went to a Christmas play at night at a majority white church. There were no problems that occurred there or on our way home. There is not much to do in Thomasville as far as vacationing. But it can be useful during the furniture market as a place to stay.
Lived there three years after moving from liberal, diverse South Florida; definitely a shock to the system. Lots of hard-core MAGA. Never had any problems per se but got some looks, occasional rudeness. If you need to go there you should be okay (stay in High Point, which is right next door). Otherwise do not recommend.
