But can we talk about the journey to this amazing island?! Let’s discuss how the Napoli metro was on strike from 9a-1p so we had to WALK to the port. We stumbled upon this cool castle/fort. Then stood in this line to get our last minute tickets for the ferry to the isle of Capri. The holding area for lack of better words was a glass enclosure, can someone tell them about closed systems? The ride was 45 min and I used that for a nap I so desperately needed after a night out with the locals in Napoli drinking bottle after bottle after bottle of wine at a fountain that didn’t work!⁣

The Ferry was like €40 round trip. Once on the island, we went to this cute little beach club called Spiaggia Bagni di Tiberio. The restuarant there is to die for. Get there early of you want a spot close to the water…better yet reserve in advance. We were a bit late arriving due to the metro strike and our hangovers. But the upper deck spots weren’t too bad and the Spritz’s were hitting!

After sunbathing (read photoshoots on rocks), we got dressed and took the funicular up to the top of the island (€2). We were attempting to make it to the top top, but missed the last chair lift ride by 20 minutes (it stops running at 5p). Scala Finicia makes for an amazing spot to see the island also, so it wasn’t all lost. We walked the island near the shops and hotels, and found an amazing little gelato spot whose line was almost back to the turn for the funicular! There was a cute little park setting up for a music festival. We were able to get in a listen to sound check for free.

Capri is a must do for the grown and sexy. There were flyers also for a few parties. That would only work if you’re staying on the island. The last ferry back to Naples is at around 730pm.
