Me and my partner traveled to Cheyenne on a Saturday during what presumably would be a busy and eventful day. Instead, it felt like we arrived to a ghost town. It was extremely quiet and hardly anyone on the streets. Most individuals did not speak to us. However, we were told to “stay safe” when leaving the Wild West Museum and felt incredibly uncomfortable with the atmosphere. We decided it was best to leave as soon as we were done with our exploration.

Traveling While Black
Wyoming was one of four states visited during our road-trip. We stayed in Cheyenne at a Hilton Tru and had dinner at a steakhouse in the area. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the steakhouse but it was located in the town square. Everyone we encountered was friendly and I did not notice any awkward stares or feel uncomfortable. We were only there the one night but I felt comfortable enough that I would go back.
