Just about EVERY time I go through Cyril to deliver (since I work for a delivery service) the cops seem to IMMEDIATELY know there’s a POC in the area. They’re either bold and they’ll make their presence known, or you’ll see them passing by a few blocks away. I also made a delivery on two other occasions and it went like this: The first time, I was confused on the entry because of how GPS was guiding me, but also because there were two entrances and I wasn’t sure which one to go to. I finally figured it out and proceeded to deliver just when–the guy got off of his mower, came over to the car and made a comment about he didn’t know who I was at first and was worried for a moment.. Continues to hint that he also wasn’t worried at the same time 🔫. The second delivery was to the wrong address (thanks again to GPS), but whether it was a wrong address or not, you can clearly see that I’m doing nothing but delivering groceries… Anyway, this guy walks out to a literal porch full of groceries and without hesitation and looking deranged: “WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT!?” I thought it was a joke and waited for the guy to finish his punchline, because a lot of men always make funny comments when their wife orders a lot of groceries, but that wasn’t one of these times. He continued to try to berate me. After I realized this was hidden behind racism, I straight up told him that he didn’t have to talk to me like that because I could be crazier than him and do something to him just for coming at me like that by making me fear/question my safety in his presence. He then backed up and went inside. Mind you as this happened police happened to be driving by. I was able to get the situation straightened out and the neighbor said to excuse the incident because he’s had several strokes, but I just saw them covering for their neighbor as most birds of a feather do. There a plenty of houses with a Confederate flag in the garage, while having an “American” flag in their yard. Wolves in Sheeps clothing I reckon. Either way, there’s racism everywhere, but in Oklahoma, they make it visibly clear, as you will even notice cars with Confederate flag plates in the front of their car, or Confederate durags and bandanas. Don’t be afraid to call out racism, because there are plenty of “crime fighters” lurking in the shadows, like the Panther’s we are. ✊🏾
