Dresden is stunning! It is full of well preserved history to enjoy, but before going I was warned as a POC against traveling there especially alone. The week we went there was an attack on a synagogue not that far from the city. I went with two white people and advised them of the . The were aware of the attack that week. With that in mind I made sure to be aware of my surroundings. However, I am happy to report I didn’t need to be. I was treated with kindness and respect wether I was walking with my white friends or completely separate from them. Even though I felt safe and comfortable while there I still gave Traveling While Black 3 stars, because there are organizations and hate groups that could cause problems.
