Traveled here for the Beyonce concert at the MetLife. Booked an Airbnb a month or so in advance but be careful and keep a list of places you can book as a back up just in case. My original Airbnb cancelled my booking a week or so before our arrival. I don’t know if it was because Beyonce was in town and they were trying to get more money or if something truly came up and they couldn’t host. Was able to find another place but I had to spend more money unfortunately. The area was beautiful and diverse. The area is mainly Caribbean and Latinos so we felt really safe and at home. We didn’t order out as we brought our own food. There were plenty of Papi stores to get in the area to get items. Best to bring or rent a car to get around. The area is very peaceful and we felt safe walking around at night. As far as activities go there are two movie theaters in the area. Went to one of them and had a good time. Also if you’re into vinyl and comics Union County Exchange is the place to go. The staff was great and we had an hour or so long conversation about music among other things. Got some really great Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind, and Fire, as well as Kendrick Lamar records. They had some classic comics that hubby enjoyed.
