I’m a Black Gen-Z woman and I lived in Fayetteville since 2019 up until 2024, it’s definitely a predominantly black city so you won’t feel out of place here but the crime rates are insane. NEVER get caught anywhere on the murc (murchison rd) past 6pm unless you carry and know how to use it, and if you see blacked out cars pulling up by each other at a gas station at the dead of night, leave or MINDDD ur mfkin business! There’s literally nothing to do here besides loiter around Cookout, and the city’s filled with residents too caught up in generational shackles that refuse to move literally anywhere else in N. America, let alone the state.
