Took my daughter on a graduation trip and we spent 2 days in Glasgow. What a nice place to visit. The people are super friendly. No issues at all. Limited in the things to do but still a nice place to visit, at lease once in a lifetime! Rate a 7 our of 10…
I travelled to Glasgow recently on a family trip through Scotland. We used Glasgow as a stop-over to break the journey. I have to admit that at first the city seemed a little rough around the edges, but there was definitely a lot of charm to the place.
Glasglow doesn’t have a lot to see, but there are still some beautiful buildings to see. The architecture in Scotland is quite lovely, and there is certainly quite a bit of history in the city.
If you’d like to see a bit more of scenic Scotland, my advice is to drive further norther to areas like Inverness and Beauly. We ended up staying in a log cabin in Beauly and it was absolutely breath-taking. The air was super crisp and there are so many exciting activities that you can do,
Scotland is a fabulous country. The people are super friendly and helpful which makes the trip so much more enjoyable. The highlight of the trip for me, was finding out that Scotland is transitioning over to renewable energy and are quite reliant on their hydro-electric sources.
I was in Glasgow for a day trip in June 2018. I took the train from Edinburgh to Glasgow. It was a short and comfortable train ride. I did the hop on hop off in Glasgow. There wasn’t as much to see in Glasgow as there was in Edinburgh but it was beautiful nonetheless. The architecture is stunning and I believe they had a big festival at that time so I’d suggest looking out for festivals if you’re planning a trip there.
I loved Glasgow for it’s authenticity. The architecture was beautiful and historic like most European cities I have been to, but if you’re looking for something to do you can have your fill on museums and art galleries. They are not only beautiful but also tells of the city’s rich history.
As for night time, you have a host of different bars and restaurants to choose from, along with traditional pubs that can make for a good time.
