Makarska is located southeast of split about an hour drive depending on traffic! We chose Makarska this time since it’s located in between mountains and the Adriatic ocean (very beautiful)
Since it does not have an airport we, all trips are made to Split airport where we got picked up by the Hotel shutter!
Our hotel (hotel meteor) was located right by the ocean with very GOOD services! Pool, gym, fitness center, activities and more! The best not minus according to Us is the outdoor was VERY salty, so apparently the pool was connected to the ocean, which wasn’t so pleasant if wanted to have a nice bath in the sun!
Otherwise everything was good, nice meals(lots of duck and meat) quite affordable depending on how you want to live! We paid about $1000 and thus, flight and all full hotel services! For the hotel alone landed around $750 with 3 times meal included AND THUS FOR 3weeks!
I wouldn’t recommend staying for 3weeks since it’s a very SMALL city, even if you will visit nearby cities then I recommend not more than a week!
