This has always been a positive experience for me until my most recent visit. A fellow hotel guest tried to stir trouble with me and my family. I can’t say if was absolutely race related because on the second encounter encounter my grandsons white white and their dgt were with me. He still thought it ok to attempt to intimidate on 3 females which included an older woman and a child. The bright side is that hotel had no tolerance for his antics and made that explicitly clear. I wouldn’t necessarily attribute this to the area, but would say use caution where ever you are. If you are a woman you may be perceived as a ‘soft target’ so make sure you are not and your words/thoughts can line up with your actions. In my case I had talked with the hotel prior to setting up my area so I knew I was in the right and hadn’t made assumptions.
