Raleigh was a great trip! It was very diverse and had a lot of good food options. I felt comfortable the whole time.

Quick solo turnaround visit to family. Route from Va Beach area to Youngsville NC.
I was instructed to stay strictly on designated route. Unfortunately a detour was in place that forced me to go local back roads. I was uncomfortable but it was daylight and I made it to my designated place before sundown. Whew.

Caribmask in Raleigh was an amazing event and vibe. They had 4 days of varying event and we attended the carnival/festival and the following day went to Jouvert. The event is put on by the Raleigh-Durham Afro-Caribbean association and its FREE. The music, the carnival masks, everything!
