I was sent to this location during Covid as a travel nurse. There were at least 50+ nurses and EMTs whom were all at the same hotel. Although we had no issues with the hotel itself. The day attendant at the desk warned all black and brown people to never go anywhere alone in this town. Don’t even walk across the street alone.

A few black women in the travel group tried to go to a nail salon whom refused to give them service.

We were doing vaccines outside in a library parking lot. And a white male in a pick up truck would come do donuts in the lot with a confederate flag and American flag on the back of the truck. I’m assuming to scare us. I was so happy when that contract was done. It’s beautiful there. But absolutely not black and brown friendly.
