Expensive whether black or not.
Nightclubs in the Bay Area are great for adult entertainment.
Fisherman’s Wharf is a good place for family fun in San Francisco.
S.F. Zoo and aquarium are also good family spots.
I traveled here for a work conference. While experiencing the city in big groups I was fine, but while walking around by myself the micro aggressions were strong.
Monterey is such a beautiful city. Nestled in between the hills and mountains ! This charming coastal gem that effortlessly captures the essence of coastal living. The mild temperatures is often accompanied by a refreshing ocean breeze, create an ideal environment for exploration. Monterey is a great option to escape the Texas heat!!
San Francisco is an amazing city! Day or night. I stayed at the intercontinental in the industrial district. The area can be a bit expensive, but it is fairly easy to navigate. You are really close to Oakland so I drove over for a Golden State vs Lakers Game. The tourist areas are Pier 39 or fisherman’s wharf where you can go near the water and see Alcatraz. Or the sea lions. Plenty of souvenir shops if you’re into that sort of thing. There’s usually music playing so it makes for a nice atmosphere. Pretty decent food. With all tourist areas you get the hustlers trying to put jewelry on you or sell something. Traveling while black: the area is extremely diverse and most people are very friendly. I will definitely be visiting again. There is so much to see.
Be sure to visit The Pink Elephant for brunch. Great food and SOOOO many mimosa flavors to try! Bottomless mimosas & great music. Definitely a great vibe! Make reservations because the line will wrap around the building.
San Francisco is a beautiful city to visit and you can stay at the Axiom Hotel. The hotel is a small boutique hotel that has a lot of charm and the staff are very friendly. The hotel is near San Francisco historic cable cars. Please be away it does get cold in the city.
