Went to Santorini, Greece for my brother’s wedding and had an amazing time. Make sure to hit the town everyday for a new adventure. The beach has black sand where we went parasailing, rented the 4 wheelers and scuba diving. The food is delectable, open up your taste pallet. Use an airbnb for excursions such as, horseback riding, photoshoots, all day boat trip ( they cook food while on the boat), wineries, and tours around the island. We stayed in a small hotel, but the rest of the family stayed in a safe Airbnb. Be sure to have the correct charging adapters, Greece adapters are different from the rest in Europe. The clubs and bars don’t have distilled alcohol, get alcohol from one of the local shops before going out. Awesome place to visit!

We stayed at the Radisson Blue Zaffron All Inclusive Resort. The resort is not too big and very private. It’s located a stones throw from the cobble stone streets of the town. The beach is also in walking distance if you’d rather relax in the sea as opposed to the 2 pools at the resort. The town has many amenities. We basically chose a different restaurant each night, then lounged at the many bars, karaoke spots and restaurant featuring bands or DJ’s. It was amazing. We took a 15 min taxi to Thira to peruse the endless restaurants, shops and bars winding up and down the mountain. The resort offered many excursions on the sea and it did not disappoint. The captain of the catamaran gave a colorful history of the island. Due to the time change, it took a while to get acclimated, so we were up at 1 and 2 am walking the streets and felt completely safe. The people were genuinely warm and welcoming. Each restaurant appeared to have a house Mom that made sure she explained each dish and drink. We will definitely be going back. Well worth the time to get there and the money spent.

My friend and I went to Santorini, Greece in June for my birthday, and we stayed there for five days. Yall, Santorini, Greece is a BEAUTIFUL ISLAND, and it has A LOT to offer. I will write down the places we’ve been to and tips at the bottom.
    • Oia: This is the place to see the famous sunset in Santorini. Also, this is where we took our flying dress photoshoot. It is best to get your pictures taken early, so you can get good sunlight and fewer crowds. Later in the day, we came back to explore Oia, which has a lot of stores and restaurants. We ate at Strogili, this is a restaurant where you can see the sunset without the crowds. You can eat, drink, and watch the sunset! You can’t beat that! I recommend getting reservations because it can get booked up pretty quickly. Also, I went to Solo Gelato, which serves authentic, homemade frozen Greek yogurt, and you can put whatever toppings you desire.
    • Kamari: This is my favorite place in Santorini, and one of the black sand beaches. This is the busiest beach because there were a lot of stores and restaurants that were bunched up. What I like about Kamari is when we arrived, everybody was nice and friendly! The vibes were immaculate! We went to Dimitiris Taverna, where we experienced Greek Night. There was food, we were dancing, and we broke plates to say OPA!
    • Perissa: This is another black sand beach in Santorini. This is less congested than Kamari. If you don’t like a lot of congestion and want more space, then this is the beach for you. I ate at Noma, and they served the BEST Calamari. Also, their pizza was good. For brunch, I went to Wet Stories, which gave a tropical vibe. The breakfast was good, and it was very relaxing.
    • Pygros: This is located in the center of Santorini. Our Airbnb was located at the top, so we were able to get the best views of the island. There are a lot of local restaurants. We ate at Kantouni, and their food was amazing! We went there twice because of how good the food was. I ate at Cava Alta, which is a rooftop restaurant with great views. I tried my first Baklava and Kadaif at a local bakery. Down the street, there is a Winery called Santos Winery. The winery has a view of the ocean and the volcanic island. I did a tasting of six flights of wine and food for $40.
    • Fira: The capital of Santorini! I recommend you wear COMFORTABLE shoes because there are A LOT of steps. This is a major shopping center. Also, it is a maze, so if you take a lot of turns, then you can get easily lost. The hotels were located kind of at the bottom. I ate at Zafora, this is a good restaurant if you want a good view. Also, I had Gelato at Assyrtico. Assyrtico has a nice shaded seating area.
    • Akrotiri: This is the smallest village we went to, and this is where the red sand beach is located. But, if you go around the village, you get a scenic view of the sunset and the island.
    • Other activities:
o We did the Catamaran Cruise, which was a six-hour excursion. We stopped at different beaches, hot springs, and sailed down the island. Also, we learned the history of Santorini and the Volcanos. Also, they served authentic food on the Catamaran Cruise.
o The Wine Museum: The wine museum is located in an underground cave, and at the end of the tour there is a wine tasting. I bought the Bronze Package, which includes four wine flights and a tape recorder tour. I really like the museum because you learned how they were able to harvest wine and how they advanced with harvesting. Before we left, we went to the vineyard and spotted a few grapes that were growing on the ground.
Tips: If you are planning to go to Santorini during the summertime, I suggest you stay HYDRATED!!! The sun almost took me out two times. We bought a case of six 1.5 Liter of water bottles, which cost us $5. Please stay hydrated. Wear COMFORTABLE shoes! You will be walking A LOT, and there are A LOT of steps! If you are planning to stay in Santorini for more than two days, rent a car or ATV. My friend and I regretted not renting a car or ATV sooner. We rented an ATV for a day, so we were able to explore Santorini.

After exploring the city of Athens, it was time for a getaway on the neighboring greek island Santorini. In order to get to Santorini from Athens, its a ferry ride over ( 4 hours) or a quick plane ride ( 50 mins). If you are looking to book the perfect sailing trip in Santorini with a perfect mix of action and relaxation look no further.

The Package: Included everything! They pick you up from your Airbnb/hotel and drop you off after. We choose the semi-private morning 5 hour sailing package which included: snorkeling, a detailed tour from a locals perspective/ and scenic routes at sea, full lunch cooked/grilled and served on board (and fresh caught shrimp of course), pair any music you want onboard to the speakers (so if your an aux cord person this is perfect can put on your favorite jams), as well as unlimited beer/wine.

If interested more in the route at sea, we sailed through: Red Beach (stopped for snorkeling and swimming), Volcanoes and Hot Springs in the area, White Beach, sailed passed the big rock called The Indian, and the ancient Light House (Akrotiri), sailed passed more beaches.

PS: If theres something you want to stay at longer, or any special request just speak up! They will customize the trip based on your needs/wants. Don’t be shy!

In addition your sailors onboard race professionally in the European Regattas, so these are experienced sailors who know exactly what they are doing. So as Allstate would say you are in great hands.

I’ve never felt so at home so far away. Greek culture and Black culture are so aligned in many ways by making sure you are taken care of like family. I will be back and 100% will be using this private sailing group to feel like a local.

    Link: https://barcasailing.com
Cost: $130 euros a person (plus tip) overall a fantastic deal!

Cheers to black adventure, feeling safe, accepted, and making memories!

Santorini is a small island in Greece, which is very beautiful and has a romantic ambiance. However it doesnt mean that you can’t do a solo traveling there, that is what I did. In my opinion, Santorini is more to a place to relax and unwind. Beautiful architecture, washed white-blue houses, unique design of the buildings, friendly local people, adding more cozy vibe of the island. The best part to visit is of course Oia Village, a hill with white-blue small houses with an extraordinary and fascinating view. I recommend to visit Oia Village after 3 PM (especially on summer), to enjoy the sunset and to get a better lighting for your pictures. There are local buses from most parts of Santorini (Fira the capital, Perissa and Oia, it also goes to many other places in the island). Just for a tip, try to get a front seat, so you will able to enjoy the view along the way, the bus will ride you up and down the hill. Once you arrive in Oia, enjoy your full day there, try to explore every part of the village, take lots of pics, and just be ready to get lost! However thats the art of Oia, small path between the houses and hotels lead you up and down the hill, yes you have to do trials and errors to get back on where you started :) Its like walking through a beautiful maze. Exploring Oia was an unforgettable moments, you will enjoy the breath-taking scenery of the sea, the cute houses, and the sunset from the corner of the village. Take your half day/ full day there, or if you can afford to stay in Oia, it would be better. Try local restaurants in Oia however the price is higher than the ones outside the village.
Based on my experience, one most affordable place to stay in Santorini is Perissa. I stayed in a small motel, beautiful and friendly host, just 2 minutes walking from the Black Sand Beach. Yes, the sand has black color, lot of people are visiting the beach especially during summer as it is one of the most famous beach in Santorini. Around Perissa area, there are many Seafood Restaurants and local handmade stores. Trying a local seafood dishes is a must whenever you visit an island in Greece, for me I love the shrimp! They are so fresh! If you would like to visit Kamari island, there is also boat from the Black Sand Beach to Kamari Island.

How to move around the island and how to travel from the airport? You can travel by affordable local bus or from the airport, better to book an airport transfer from the hotel you stay, once you arrive in the hotel / motel, you could get advise from the locals how to get around.
Overall, its not an affordable island so I do not recommend to stay more than couple of days for those who are traveling in budget, just go for several days and visit some main places. After, you will go home with your amazing memories of Santorini and Greece.

Santorini is one of my favorite places. I was there for one day while on a cruise. The views are Heavenly and the cuisine is exquisite. Shopping was great and I was able to buy handmade shoes at unbelievable prices. To get to the top you have the option of taking the trolley, a donkey, or the Karavolades Stairs (588 steps on a slippery winding stairway) which you will share with the donkeys. I did the latter and deeply regretted it after myself among many others slipped and fell as we trekked down in the blistering heat while dodging donkeys and poop. If you decide to go that route be sure to have on non slippery shoes. I can laugh now because I survived but that was an adventure to say the least. Overall, I would recommend Santorini and would go again in a heartbeat if the opportunity arises. Next time I’ll wait on the long trolley line!

My trip to Greece is one of my all-time favorite vacations. Santorini is absolutely stunning and worth all the hype. The people were friendly and proud of their island and its slow pace. All of the food I ate was delicious. Skala, a restaurant set on the edge of the caldera, is a must visit. I still rave about the baklava I ate there. Other dishes to try are moussaka, dolma, cheese bread, and ozo (a strong liquor). Walk down to the water in Oia and stop at any of the restaurants lining the shore. The fish is sure to be fresh and yummy.

If you are searching for a place to relax with your significant other, this is the place for you!! Listen, Santorini is all the hype and more when it comes to how beautiful it is. You will feel beyond relaxed while staying here. I highly recommend you book an Airbnb in Oía, which is where the famous white caves are located. Link to Airbnb: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1548165?s=67&unique_share_id=308be6d7-c760-42eb-81a9-ed9354426a0a . It is a bit more on the expensive side but totally worth every penny. You can spend hours walking through Oía just enjoying the views, especially when the sun sets. Most people are friendly in Oía, however we did run into a very rude and racist jewelry store owner. He wouldn’t allow us to go into his store to purchase because he figured we couldn’t afford it. Little did he know we are all financially well off and could’ve purchased any item we desired -shrugs- but it’s just one of those things you have to take the high road on. Aside from that, Santorini is beyond romantic. You can go with your friends like I did and still have a great time. There’s not much of night life going on unless you’re there in the summer.

Santorini is actually very small and you can see it in its entirety in 24 hours. It’s VERY ROMANTIC the sunset is to die for! Travel tip: the roads are very narrow and google map does not work well here. I therefore booked a tour online so I wouldn’t get lost. It was the best decision ever made! I was able to walk through communities, learn the history and meet new friends without getting lost. The airport was a breeze they literally do not inspect you or question you at all.

Santorini was a dream trip! The only downside is that, unless you’re only going for relaxation/beaches, you may get bored. We did the Santorini Panorama tour for a full day which only cost us about $50, which is a great deal! It included 3 opposing beaches, village tours, an excavation site, viewing the sunset, and a winery tour. We adventured off to random areas to try different restaurants and searched for the best IG spots for the “blue domes.” my favorite restaurants were probably Skiza’s pizza (in Oia) and Pelican Kipos (in Fira). Both were relatively inexpensive. The small town of Oia is the infamous spot of pictures, food, and shopping. Definitely worth it! We spent a total of 3 days there and that was the perfect amount of time!

Santorini is a very beautiful relaxing environment. The people are nice and very helpful. We took a 1 30 minute cruise from Mykonos. Taking the cruise was a great experience. It gave us a chance to experience the ocean views and surrounding islands close by. We stayed at the Santorini Palace. This hotel gave us close access to all the activities to take nice walks through the town with some of the most beautiful views and plenty of local shopping and food places that you can enjoy. I would suggest to take the volcano boat tour which is also close the Santorini Palace hotel. During the tour, you can experience swimming to the volcano where all the natural minerals and sulfur which was created by the volcano eruption. As far as dining I would suggest eating at the Andronis Concept. Amazing hotel amazing food and if you are off into concept pictures this is the best place. Hope you all enjoy.

Santorini is only a 45 minute flight from Athens. You could really experience the entire island in a full day if you wanted. Be aware of the peek and off season when traveling. A lot of the shops and excursion only open during the peek season which is typically the hotter months like May-Sept. They have some of the best sea food in the world, although I expected more from the wine selections.
Best place to stay in my opinion is Fira, right off the cost with great views and walking distance to a lot of shops, bars and restaurants. Cosmopolitan suites Hotel was small but very accommodating, its the center of everything and a great place to stay. If you can be sure to check out Argo and enjoy some of the authentic Greek food for a good price and great convo. I was able to sail around different parts of the island and swim in hot springs with Oia Sunet tours. The hot springs aren’t really hot, may just be about 6 – 8 degrees warmer than other areas. But the tour was relaxing and around 150 USD which include all you can drink and also a BBQ dinner. Overall the people were very welcoming and you cant put a price on the views… I will be sure to be back.

so my trip to Santorini is part of one of my best trips. Me and my girlfriend left in November 2019, the weather was favorable to discover santorini. the tourists were small ideal to enjoy the landscape in all Quiet people are sociable and cheap food. This destination is favorable for a couple trip, your summer shr to put pallets in the eyes of your girlfriend. If there is a city that is most surprising, it would not be Oía but rather Imerovigli, a city with a lot of potential, I highly recommend it. Here is a bit of everything I can tell you about Santorini, I have not really called on travel agencies for activities just to rent a car with BUDGET for cheap (€ 34) a week. really not expensive.

Hi, I arrived in Santorini Greece from Athens. I took the ferry over to Santorini for 35 Euros. I wish I knew ahead of time how transportation worked in Greece. Everyone that got off the ferry was looking for a ride to their hotel. As you can imagine there were a lot of “taxis” and ride shares outside. Some costing as low as 10 to 60 euros. Please do not buy into the 60 euros to go up the mountain especially if you are on a budget. You can haggle with a lot of them and I was able to do rideshare to my hotel for just 10 euros.

I decided to stay in Kamari Santorini which is about 30 minutes from OIA (where you see pictures of all the popular instagramable white houses). This was the best decision ive made. Kamari was also a tourist town but made for more lowkey relaxation. My hotel “Chez Sophie” was family-owned, small and very cute. It was only $278 for FOUR NIGHTS. It had a small pool which was usually empty because we were a 3-minute walk to the beach. The owners were extremely nice and easy to contact. They also lived on site so if there was a problem pass midnight you could knock on their room door (usually, they were in the office until 1 a.m). The area was filled with a lot of traditional food which was all delicious, a boardwalk along the beach which was filled with more food, a lot of storefronts and lots of drinks.

Lastly, Wifi was practically everywhere around the island so I did not feel like I had to worry about that. The bus stop was a quick 2-minute walk from my hotel and went to all towns around the island. The bus was only 1,80 Euros to the main square and then another 1,80 to the town you wanted to go to. I would explore all the towns because they all have so much to offer.

Greece was always number 1 on my travel list, but I always thought it would be way too expensive for me to travel to or that it would be sad to go there alone. But I LOVED my experience there. I did my research and even though I went in June I still found affordable housing (Air b&b) in the town of Thera. Thera is only a 20 minute cheap bus ride from Oia! It always where all the major buses stop at to connect you to other areas of the island. It ended up being the most convenient and cheapest location to say.

In Santorini Oia is where everything cost an arm and a leg but views are free?
So I just had most of my meals with same water views in Thera.

But on days I wanted a quick lunch and I was already in Oia, I found out that if you eat in the restaurants close to the bus stations everything is about 5 euros. So you can still eat and hang out in Oia if you want.

As far as being black friendly lol, I can count on one hand the amount of black people I saw, but no one was rude to me or started at me. I think as more of us travel to these areas, we’ll have more representation. The only reaction I got from the Greek people was men honking their cars at me but I was told they kinda do that to most young women. Before going vlogs scared me of how I would be treated but I felt very comfortable and I was there solo so you’ll be fine tooI!

And I traveled solo so I paid for a photoshoot but also wanted to do that in an affordable way so I found a cheap group photoshoot and did that. My group was just me and a couple so I ended up getting a lot of uninterrupted photo time!

I absolutely loved Santorini. My boyfriend & I went in May & the weather was perfect. Not a crazy amount of tourists there yet so it was amazing. Perfect for a romantic getaway. I would recommend staying in Oia at an Airbnb. Our Airbnb was $640.00 USD for 2 nights and it was totally worth it. Our exact Airbnb is called Artia Mansion. The views from Oia alone will make you never want to leave the island. While there we walked down to Amoudi bay, which has about 2-3 restaurants with the freshest seafood. The remainder of our trip my boyfriend & I spent it relaxing and exploring the place for the best views. We also got a fish pedicure which was affordable & a nice experience.

I visited Santorini this is May with my fiancé and We absolutely loved it! It was scorching hot already and no rain at all. Santorini is quite pricey with on average beer costing six euros and a cocktail costing 10 – 12 euros. To save money we stayed in Crete and took the ferry over to Santorini which only takes about two hours. We also did the Santorini photo shoot with the company Santorinidress. This cost to us about €450 which covered the photo shoot and my dress included. I highly recommend to do the classic Santorini photo shoot. It’s a one of a kind experience which we both loved. You certainly receive your value for money! Overall Santorini is expensive but you certainly do get your money’s worth!

Santorini was a surprise holiday for my mums 50 ! The Greek island views are breathtaking. We stayed at Antinea suites spa hotel which is located in Thira. Again this was perfect with the mountainous views and we were local to the beach, shops and restaurants.

We also had dinner at Santoro Grace Hotel. This was another surprise booked which included a 7 course meal accompanied with wines. They would also provide a dish to cleanse your pallet for the next plate of food. If you do decide to have dinner at this place i would suggest getting there for 6 pm so you can see the amazing sunset, also ask to have dinner outside which they called Sea view dining.

I would highly recommend doing a boat tour which allows you to see different parts of the island and the history. The company we used was called https://santoriniboat-tours.gr/ I think we paid 30-40 Euros I don’t really remember the price but it wasn’t too expensive. There are many different tours available.

It’s a perfect destination if you want to go with your loved one but as this was on my mums bucket list I thought why not. It was worth every penny spent!!

Santorini was absolutely beautiful! Even after all my preparation, I still was shocked by all the people. Everyone bucking for that perfect picture?! Thankful for my Greek Fest excursion. Was able to experience some Greek food and dance…OPA! The sunset was breathtaking!

I love this city! Oia is one of the most beautiful town I have ever visited. Romance is the fragrance of Santorini! I went there in 2017 with my parents and sister for my birthday. We all had an amazing time and I will definitely love to go back there again, but this time around with bae. The people are so nice and the food is fresh, nutritious and delicious. I had one of my most memorable travel experiences in this city. The top on the list of experiences is watching the sunset in Oia for four wonderful evenings with love ones. There isn’t any night life in Oia but there is in Thira. We wanted some peace and quiet so we chose to stay in Oia over Thira. The village of Oia pretty much shuts down when the shops closes up at about 9pm – 9:30pm. You can rent a car (stick shift and auto) and explore all the main towns in this city in a day! Kamari beach (black sand) and the Red sand beach is a must see. I would advice you not go there during peak season (June/July) if you do not like crowd much. I felt it was already crowded and hot in April but the locals told me it gets much hotter and crowded in July.
Traveling while black: The people are nice and they are respectful. Didn’t feel uncomfortable being there. Although I didn’t see that many black people there. It came off as though it was not a popular destination for POC or that POC were not that aware of the place. I went in 2017, so hopefully with the growing rise of black travelers, there are probably more black tourists there in 2019 than I had experienced.

    Hey Hey!

For starters you can check out my Santorini vlog to see snippets of what I did during my stay and the room tour:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClfmdQ9aVXE

Okay now time for the review – Santorini, Greece feels like a dream walking through all the white spaces in the town. I stayed at the Costa Grand Resort & Spa which is a 5 star hotel. Very beautiful and peaceful right by the black sand beach which was interesting.

If you are looking for relaxation and good foods Santorini is the island to go to. If you are looking for partying your eyes out then Mykonos may suit you best. One thing Santorini is known for are their sunsets. Sunset Oia is beautiful. Also we had a tour guide drive us up Monastery of Prophet Elias which is, I believe, the highest peak of the island and you are legit in the clouds.

Santorini was fun however, it wasn’t my favorite. I would honestly recommend Mykonos over Santorini. I took a tour while in Santorini and explored everything from the Black Beach to the highest point of the island. We also went to watch the sunset in Oia but it wasn’t the greatest. I’ve seen better sunsets.

I visited Santorini for my 30th Birthday. I wanted to go somewhere to chill, eat good food, drink champagne and relax. And that is exactly what this place had to offer.

Santorini is very chilled. I visited at the end of October so prices a very reasonable as it is the end of the busy season. October was a great time to visit as it was not busy with lots of tourist.

I stayed at UniqueSuites which was lovely. Each room has its own private jacuzzi and balcony view. The staff here are amazing and very accommodating. Breakfast was good too. Good value for money as the cost was £690, 4 nights stay for 2 people and that included breakfast.

I visited Oia which is a beautiful area. Very picturesque with lots of photo opportunities.
This area gets very busy during sunset hours so be sure to get there before then if you want to eat whilst watching the sun set.

Santo Winery is a must! We enjoyed a lovely meal and wine tasting experience here. A very nice place to see the beautiful sunset. Food is nice too.

Not a place to go if looking for lots of activities. Santorini is relaxed and slow paced. Transport to get around was the best. We hired a quad bike to get around locally.

If you’re looking for an excursion, definitely look into a catamaran tour. The tour included unlimited wine and lunch. The lunch was good, nothing to write home about, but it was tasty. The best part was being able to swim by a volcano/hot springs and the views. I don’t remember the name of the company, but your hotel concierge should be able to assist with booking. Be prepared to dedicate/plan for a full day depending on what time of the day you choose for your tour. The catamaran tour I did lasted six hours.

You must visit Santos Winery! The views are breathtaking. It’s also very romantic. I recommend making a reservation ahead of time. The place was packed and my party had to wait to get a good table so we could thoroughly enjoy the views.

On a side note: We went right at the tail-end of the slow season. We were told we could ride the bus and/or use taxi services, but if we went that route, be prepared to wait FOREVER, so we ended up renting a car.

I’m absolutely in LOVE with Santorini! In Santorini we stayed At the dreams luxury suites amazing experience private pool and hot tub! I decided to go shortly after I saw it on Instagram. The only negative was the flight hours, other than that they have amazing people, culture and views. Breathtaking from every aspect, and being black I didn’t feel at all out of place. They go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. They also like to see that you are interested in their history and culture. I will definitely be back ❤️

Greece was truly a breathtaking trip all the hype of the views is REAL . You will not see a sunset like this nor an ocean as blue as in Greece . Traveling while being black was an amazing experience for us . I went with a group of girls and we were the token black girls that everyone wanted in their restaurant, bar, club . We got great treatment from free drinks , cabanas , food etc . It was magical and the one of the first time I felt black girl magic to my advantage . They have plenty of music for us and we’re extremely welcoming. I loved every bit of it .

Santorini is a gorgeous island, in particular Oia which has absolutely stunning views of whitewashed houses and blue domes. Although naturally more of a city in my travelling, I did really enjoy the many sights of the island via catamaran ship which I would definitely recommend. To capture the moment I met up with @true_santorini who had worked with Rick Ross to help scout locations to shoot the video for Santorini Greece and took some amazing photos! Food was amazing, would definitely come back and visit again, but maybe best enjoyed with a bae lol

One of the most romantic cities I’ve travelled to, and I was with friends haha. Of the 40+ countries I’ve visited, this island is on my must-visit-again list. From the fresh tasty food, to wine tastings, adventures of riding the cable car down and over the infamous white/blue houses, to taking a boat ride for a hike up the volcano and returning to witness the most beautiful breezy sunset night after night. I would highly recommend a visit.

    Everything Santorini Flying Dress Photoshoot!!

From the moment I booked this Greece trip, I knew this was a must do. Many companies offer a dress and photography package. However, it’s super expensive and the dresses are one size fits all..and we ALL are not the same size. After researching different dress styles by using the #flyingdress hashtags, I opted to get a dress made by a local business owner. I purchased around 10 yards of chiffon fabric from hobby lobby and spent around $50 dollars. I chose royal blue to compliment the blue and white scenery of Santorini….but it comes in every color. The cost of the design will vary by the person that makes the dress but it considerably less than renting a dress, and it’s mine to keep!! The dress was light weight, made specifically for my body, and fit perfectly in my luggage.

Once I arrived in Santorini… a photographer (santorini_lion) reached out to me through my DM and offered his services. This was perfect because we had not yet chosen a photographer. Having a photographer made things soo much easier because he knew exactly where to take us to get the perfect shot, and provided transportation! Price packages for photography ranged from 200€-500€ depending on the duration and number of people in the shoot. Our shoot included three people, and lasted a little over 2 hours. We each paid 116€. He was also soo flexible. We literally reached out to him on the day of the shoot around 1:30pm. And he was at our hotel to pick us up at 4! I’m usually a planner so I wouldn’t suggest being soo last minute with booking. But we got lucky!!

The day of the shoot was an adventure and a workout!! Although the shots were amazing..they required work!! There was a lot of running, jumping, and climbing involved! We were in public places with other tourist around, so there wasn’t much time for playing around. But once we stepped in front of the camera, we felt like the beautiful Queens that we are!! It was a wonderful experience that I’ll remember for a lifetime!!

I had a great time in Santorini–the views in Oia and Fira were breathtaking. There are soooo many places you can find great food! My first meal was at a restaurant right up the road from where I stayed, “Katerina’s Traditional Restaurant.” There was also a bakery nearby (“Erotokritos”), which I think I visited daily.

Unfortunately I did not get a chance to visit the beach while in Santorini, but it was recommended by the hotel staff (both black and red sand beaches). We did wine tasting at Santo Wines (which also has divine scenery), and a boat tour, where hiked and viewed the Nea Kameni volcano, and also got to dip ourselves in the hot springs.

Traveling While Black: Absolutely no issues while in Santorini, as so many people visit this Greek isle.

Santorini gave us beauty but also a great night life. Staying in Fira we went to two great lounges. One was Two Brothers. As soon as we walked in they put us on the top level and we had hookah. It gets pretty packed in there so I do recommend going to the top level if you can. It’s enough room for about 15 people or so. They played hip hop, House, and more. We had a blast !!! The second lounge was Murphy’s. Murphy’s was really cool because they had a pole if you wanted to dance and do your thing lol ! For a girls trip, we definitely had fun dancing. There’s a bakery right by Two Brothers that has THE BEST chicken pies !!! They are 24 hours which was so great after the lounge and night of dancing.

Santorini is one of the most beautiful and romantic places I’ve ever been to. There really isn’t anything like a Santorini sunset. The food was great, I ate all the baklava, gyros, falafels, and fresh salads that I could stuff myself with. Due to the island being quite big, the best mode of transportation is either a car or coach bus (i.e. public transportation). Their bus system was quite efficient and very cheap. If you don’t want to rent a car (which can be stressful when it comes to parking), I recommend you hire a driver to take you around the whole island. We hired a driver who spent about 5 hours taking us around to all the non-touristy areas in Santorini that were absolutely breathtaking. We booked this driver on the day of our excursion, since we met him while having breakfast. It wasn’t planned, but it turned out to be great. Beware that Oia is very populated during the summer, which may take away some of the serenity of the island-especially during sunset hours. If you want to enjoy a sunset unbothered by the crowds, I suggest booking a dinner/drinks at a restaurant with a view prior to your arrival. If you’re not staying in Oia, you can make a reservation on the same day you’re there, just make sure to book earlier on in the day prior to sunset. There are so many restaurants to chose from. Just walk along Oia’s main road and you can review all of the menus each place has to offer. You can usually see what kind of view they have since most of the cycaladic buildings are open.

I explored Santorini during the off-season (it was VERY COLD)! I resided in the El Greco resort in Thira. The property that I stayed at was not far at all to the strip and local eating spots. The resort was accommodating. it provided delicious breakfast and also had 5 pools , Which is more than enough space during the off season! The 1st night we moved rooms three times because the AC didn’t work, but the receptionist took care of our concerns. If you travel with a group I would recommend not staying in Oia’ unless it’s for romantic reasons. The scenery was beautiful although it was cold a couple of days! We were lucky on our second day to go on a cruise and thankfully it was WARM !!! The boat cruise was accommodating and the food was great! I would recommend going to “The Pure” if you are interested in the night life! It’s a must go to indeed see the Blue Domes. During my visit (off seasons) residents were preparing for the tourist by painting the building, paving the roads, etc. Many excursions were not available but there are some available to do. For more questions or concerns I don’t mind if you DM me @traveling_tenderoni on IG or even watch my YouTube video travelingtenderoni!

Greece is my all time favorite place to visit! Greece is so romantic! The scenery is unbeatable! I love Oia because it is where the best restaurants are and it is the best place to take beautiful pictures. I stayed at a resort called Santorini Princess and the service was the best I’ve had any where in the world. The views and pool are amazing! I paid around $250 per night and it was worth more. I also have stayed at Cavo Tagoo which is about $600 a night but very upscale and nice. Cavo had the most delicious food! Check it out even if it’s just for dinner or a drink.

I was fortunate to spend some time in Santorini, Greece while I was dancing on a Princess Cruise ship and it is by far one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever seen. We rode donkey’s up to the city as well as took the cable car and I must say the views are amazing! I visited a fish spa (so weird but cool), ate some amazing greek food and even hiked up a volcano. Santorini is definitely a favorite of mine and I will be back in the near future. Since I was on the cruise, I didn’t get to stay overnight but I will be planning a Santorini vacay soon! I will say this 12 day cruise to the Mediterranean are about $839 per person but if you’re looking for an inexpensive way to travel or cruise, we should definitely link up!

My friends and I went to Santorini for a week in July. The weather is particularly hot and sunny in that time. We were based in Fira and we went to Oia to see one of the best sunset of the world. We booked a boat day to go to Kameni, a small island close to Fira (40 min by boat). Overthere, we discovered the Caldeira and the volcano after walking 30 min (be careful of the sun), then we swam in the joy springs. It was so lovely. Santorini is very beautiful but it’s the most expensive cyclade island.

My Sorority sister and I spent a week in Greece in at the end of July. I can honestly say that there was nothing about the country that I didn’t like (except maybe the toilet system). We rented a airnbn near black sand beach in Santorini and used that as our base. Oia was easily excessable through bus. Oia is a charming village, far from the tourist mobs of Fira–except when a tourist bus rolls into town. There are several good places to eat (Anemomilos is very traditonal, and Pelekanos has great crepes), many lovely shops, and breath-taking sunsets. We were told by several residents to try the octopus at Katina Tavena, just below Oia, but it has only open air seating and the weather was too chilly for that. Maybe next time…In Fira, we enjoyed the food at Naoussa and Simos. We also ferried to Parikia on Paros where we stayed overnight awaiting a connection to Mykonos. You can see my review of the Hermes Hotel in Parikia elsewhere on this site (13 euros per person). The cab ride to visit Naoussa on Paros is worth the fare. It is a very picturesque fishing village. In Parikia, we ate a couple of meals at the Pomegranate Cafe along the waterfront. It has a good breakfast menu, as well as dessert crepes. The cafe is very tastefully decorated and you can sit outside and watch the harbor activity. We spent only night on Mykonos, where we stayed at the Pension Matina. The price was right (about 26 euros each per night) and the place was clean, with a nice view and large swimming pool area, but it is quite a trek up the hill from the center of town, and the proprietor was less than gracious.

September 10, 2016: Departure for our beautiful Cyclades! Beginning of our romantic getaway
Fira is really lively! This is where we stayed the first days, in a small hotel, 5 minutes from the city center named Galatia Villa. Very nice hotel, with small pool and jacuzzi, which I found on Booking. The room was very nice, with a small balcony. And the price was very correct. We did not stay in Oia because the prices were exorbitant, really. Oìa, the beautiful Oìa! Honestly, this is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The decor is so romantic and I was lucky to be there with my boyfriend. These white chapels with these touches of blue, this architecture so atypical but especially this view breathtaking! The photos of Instagram do not deceive us, it’s even more beautiful in real life. Santorini is known for these blue chapels but there are also beaches: Red Beach, Black Beach and White Beach. The beaches of Santorini are not! The Red Beach in Akrotiri is down a red cliff, so go down to get there. There is no sand, they are pebbles. I found it so cold, I did not have the courage to bathe. I just had a dip, finally my feet were soaked … It’s a very lively city with a lot of young people. All along Black Beach, there are restaurants, bars, etc. Access is prohibited to the vehicle from 17:30 it seems to me. Moreover, if you go through Perissa, I advise you to go to the bar “Tranquilo”, relaxing atmosphere guaranteed! Along the beach, you can sit on a deckchair if you consume something. We really liked this part of Santorini.

I visited Oía, Santorini, Greece during the month of November. November is considered to be the offseason for travel in a lot of European countries. As a result, the cost of hotels is heavily reduced. During my visit to Oía, I stayed at the VIP Suites Hotel. It was about a 25 minute drive from the airport. To get to the hotel, it was 35 Euros by hotel shuttle; this was the only mode of transportation available due to my arrival time (about 5/6:00pm). For a honeymoon suite with an indoor jacuzzi and what I considered to be the best view in the city, I paid only 130 USD. This room, during high season, can go for 500+ USD per night. I also had the luxury of touring/viewing each of the room types available upon arrival to determine which one I liked more and preferred to stay in. The hotel was in a prime location and with a 5-minute walk, I could visit: restaurants, grocery stores, gift shops, the famous blue top church, etc. Any hotel within the vicinity of VIP Suites offers the same luxuries as they are all one “cave”, separated into rooms that are owned by different hotels. For about 5 Euros, you may also take a bus to the famous city of Fira; this is at maximum a 15 minute drive. From the bus, I was able to see a lot of activities and restaurants. I am sure there is much to do there however, be mindful that not all things will be open based on the season in which you are visiting. I also spent one night in Fira however did not get to see much of the city. I stayed in a hotel there (Georgia Studios) but did not have the most pleasant experience due to miscommunication with my host and her husband. The room was comfy/clean/ Outside of the miscommunication, I would recommend it if you are looking for somewhere just to lay your head for a few hours costing less than 50 Euros.

Apart from walking around, enjoying the beach, dining at restaurants and watching the sunrise/sunset, there is not much to do in Oía, Santorini. It is however, a very relaxing city with good food and great views. A fun fact that I learned while there: no hotels or residences are allowed to host parties or play loud music as the city wants to maintain a quiet, calm environment for all guests/residents. I had a positive experience while “traveling black” – it was a completely normal trip.

Santorini was a very interesting trip for me. Definitely an island on my list to visit for some time.

Views were absolutely breath-taking. Could sit there and enjoy the sunset for hours. The island overall was difficult to access from a ferry. A lot of uphill driving and lots of tourists.

Food was just ok, and overpriced. Would probably opt for a different Greek island if I return to Greece.

Hotels are also overpriced and not too impressive.

Would recommend staying at a nicer hotel, and save up before you go. Local spots with souvlaki and traditional Greek foods were more enjoyable than the “fancier” restaurants. Even souvenirs are expensive.

Overall Santorini was beautiful, but would recommend other islands such as Paros, Naxos, or an island less touristy.

First off of the heels of a $350 flight desk from NYC to Athens, we hopped on a regional budget airline to Santorini. My first thought upon arriving was as beautiful as this place appears in pictures that can’t even begin to do it justice. We stayed in a cliff side villa in Thira which came with daily breakfast on the villa’s terrace. My recommendations is to try to replicate this experience. It is the perfect way to start the day. We rented a car (as we commonly do for our trips to Islands) and it allowed us to do so much more like visit the oldest winery on the island, have lunch from Greek several Greek bakeries sprinkled throughout the island and visit the remants of the multitude of ruins of Ancient Santorini villages. I highly recommend renting a car. Lastly, Santorini has incredibly fresh seafood (and food for the matter) so you should absolutely indulge in decadent meal or two. You will not be disappointed. If you are planning a trip and have any questions, feel free to reach out to me on IG. My IG Handle is TravelBecomesMe.

Santorini is as beautiful in real life as it is in pictures. The island is relatively small and can be driven from end to end in about 1 to 1.5 hours. The island of Santorini has several villages; I went to 5. I stayed in 2 villages…Oia and Fira. We stayed in hotels because we didn’t want to deal with Airbnb. We weren’t too sure what the attitudes of the locals would be toward black people. We didn’t want drama so we opted for hotels.

Oia: The most popular village is Oia (pronounced ee-ah), it’s the one you see you most in the pictures with the with buildings and blue roofs. It’s about a 15 minute drive from the airport and about a 15 minute drive from the capital city, Fira. When you arrive there is a central location for hotel check-in and a bus boy guides you to your room. Be prepared to walk a lot and there are tons of stairs! There are no hotel names, street names or addresses displayed because Santorini is a historic island it’s illegal. We stayed in a honeymoon suite at Residence Inn (room 108). The hotel was rated 3.5 stars. We had a private outdoor hot tub (be careful because some hot tubs can be seen by people walking by) overlooking a the caldera. The room was clean and spacious. There was heat and air conditioning. We had a small kitchenette (no stove) and a large bathroom. We were surrounded by other rooms. There were restaurants and shops all over the village. The restaurants are mostly dine-in and can be pricey. The shops are souvenir shops and high end clothing and jewelry shoes ( Michael Kors, Prada, Coach, etc.). There is a local bus that costs 1.90 euro per person to get to Fira. There is hardly any nightlife. Oia gets quiet when it gets dark. It’s romantic and you’ll need to go to another village to party. There is no bus to take you. You’ll need a rental car, not an ATV. The roads out of Oia are on the edge of a cliff and very windy.

Fira: Fira is the capital and way more crackin! This is where you can rent ATVs and get really good street food (the gyros gave me life!). There are tons of shops and restaurants. We stayed at Galatia Villas. The room was very inexpensive (around 35 euro on a Monday night) so I was pleasantly surprised to see the room was a pretty good size. It had a sofa bed in addition to the queen bed. There was also a kitchenette (no stove). It wasn’t on a hillside like in Oia, but instead was on a regular street. No spectacular view. Actually, no view at all. It was quiet in the area of the hotel, but there is nightlife in Fira. Clubs typically open around 11, but my jet lag wouldn’t let me live.

Kamari Beach and Perissa Beach: Both beaches are black sand beaches and have a housing in the community leading up to the beach front. I didn’t stay in either of these beach communities, but I visited. These communities are less congested than Oia and Fira. They are also less expensive. There are a lot of beach bars in this area.

Thira: Thira is where the airport is located. I didn’t stay there, but if you have an early flight or want to be near the airport this would be ideal. The landscape is flat, so like Fira, there are no spectacular views in that area, but the hotels in this area are less expensive than Oia,

Santorini is a gem & should definitely be visited although the price tag could be of putting but if great planning is done you could visit with a low budget and still have an even greater experience so travel in low season April/May as this is low season in Santorini whereby the weather is an average of 18 – 24 degrees, hotels are cheaper during this period and the island is less crowded than it’ll be in months like July/August. Book and stay in multiple hotels if possible, in different villages so you can experience the island overall, AND stay in an hotel on the caldera as this would be one of your highlights of the whole trip. Rent a car or ATV, they are cheaper in low season as well and it’ll give you a lot of freedom to explore the islands BUT be very careful as not only are Greeks known for being terrible drivers, the roads in Santorini can be very small and narrow. Book flight tickets as early as possible because if you shop around properly you could secure a return ticket as low as £69.99 even if you’re from any parts of the world you could always connect from London and save yourself a lot of money. Wear comfortable shoes as the island has a lot of stairs and always walk around with a bottle of water. Take lots of pictures as Santorini is a picturesque island, one of the most beautiful, charming and fascinating destinations in the world. Don’t be camera shy as everyone will be busy taking pictures as well.
Have a budget and DON’T get ‘lost in the sauce’ as tour promoters are easily persuasive and can have you booking activities you might end up regretting due to their long hours and high cost.

Santorini is BEAUTIFUL! Honestly the view is just as phenomenal as the photos you see. That’s just about it though. There isn’t much to do in Santorini, which could be a great thing if you are interested in just taking a break and relaxing on a terrace. It’s pretty expensive and traveling to different areas is timely. Taxi’s are pricy and the tour buses run on their own time. I would highly suggest renting an ATV to see all of the island. To help fill up your time, book a wine tour! We had a great time learning about the wine they produce while eating the local paired foods. A big misconception about Santorini is they have great beaches. The beaches are nice but don’t come to Santorini for a beach. There are plenty of other beaches that are breathtaking, you’re better off laying out at the hotel pool. The weather is always perfect in Santorini. Thankfully it gets pretty windy or it would be way too hot (think Las Vegas only.. hotter). Fira is a cheaper location to stay in and more touristy. If you’re looking for more “nightlife” I would suggest staying here. Oia is way more expensive but there are less people. Surprisingly, the food was great! Very well seasoned. I will say however, folks act as if they have never seen a black person. They aren’t rude they just stare, which gets annoying and uncomfortable when dining in a restaurant. We ended our trip with a yacht tour which allowed us to see the volcano and swim in the ocean. Overall, an ideal baecation or RELAXING Girl’s trip. This is a vacation where you are laying out the whole time or taking your ATV to the other side of the island for dinner.

    Keya

I can honestly say that Santorini is by far the best place I ever visited. The views of the ocean from the cliff was amazing. Seeing the Blue Domes in Oia was a sight to see. I took a boat cruise around the island of Santorini visiting the different beaches. The food was ok, nothing special. Last I proposed to my girl on her birthday in the beautiful town of Oia. The best moment of my life. I highly recommend everyone to visit Santorini.

Santorini was just a dream. My boyfriend and I took a trip before the beginning of the school year and I must say it was all I dreamed off and more.we spent one night at Kamari beach at Costa Grand Resort and Spa.The resort was amazing and offered free breakfast.we took the bus from Kamari which was £1.80 to Fira To have dinner and see the sunset,it was very romantic.we took the bus back to Kamari for the same price. The buses run every 10-15 minutes between Kamari and Fira very affordable if you’re on a budget because Santorini is no cheap. The second day we spend in Oia visited the city and took plenty of pics.Fyi the picture on Instagram are taken in Oia with the beautiful churches and scenery.

Santorini is a very popular destination and for good reason! It is a dreamy and beautiful destination. We booked through booking.com with Lucky homes, I loved waking up to the caldera views every day. There are plenty of things to do and see such as going to white, Black and red beach (Red beach was my personal favorite!) you can also visit ammoundi bay, go four wheeling, and go on a boat or wine tour. I would definitely recommend to go to the prehistoric Muesam as Santorini is a place with a great history!

Santorini is beautiful! It is a very small and expensive island but well worth it. I’m 19 and I did it, so its not impossible :) I went beach hopping, which I typically dont do because I thought all the beaches would just look the same, I was wrong lol. I went to Perissa beach (black sand beach), the Red beach and White beach and they all had a different view, different colors of sand and clear water, great pictures, it was paradise. I found it hard to find the popular blue top domes because they were all spread out and it was difficult to find a good location to take a picture with numerous ones of them in the back. I recommend renting a car because it is a chill environment to drive in (unlike Athens) and you get to see more of what you want whenever you want. I stayed at the Apanemo Hotel in Akrotiri and it was amazing, from the customer service to the beautiful view. They have breakfast (free) and lunch and dinner (off the menu) all throughout the day. It is very quiet and peaceful at the hotel and on the island in general.

Santorini was a dream! This is the ultimate place to relax and if you have a significant other, reconnect. If you are into luxury hotels, I highly recommend Villa Katikies in Oia. It is the smaller, sister hotel to the main Katikies. The great thing about staying at the Villa is that you can still access the main hotel’s facilities while receiving a more affordable rate and personalized attention at the smaller resort. Our room had it’s own jacuzzi on the balcony overlooking the caldera. The view was breathtaking and left me in a meditative trance. The hotel is around $500 per night, but definitely worth every penny. We decided to go sailing and used Santorini Sailing for a fabulous day on the Aegean sea. Dinner is cooked on the boat and there is an option to watch the sunset right on the water. Free wine and beer is included as well! If you are in need of a vacation where you can truly exhale and recharge, Santorini is it.

Santorini Greece was by far a dream come true! I stayed in Akrotiri in the Apanemo Hotel and it was to die for! The staff was so welcoming and accommodating. The views from this hotel were spectacular and I could hardly even stand to leave and explore the island! I will most definitely only stay here on a return trip to Santorini.

Santorini is exactly what you see in the beautiful pictures. Breathtaking!! I did a 3 Island tour of Greece where I started in Athens, then Santorini, And ended in Mynkonos. Santorini was my favorite! I stayed at the Crystal Blue resort, which was feet away from the ocean. The staff was exceptional and it came
With free breakfast. I would say it was between $280-350 USD for 3 nights. There were many restaurants that were also a few feet away, soy internships, everything you could need was local. They also greeted me with a birthday card upon arrival for my 26th birthday ?. The staff also helped us with location of all the touristy things to do. I absolutely LOVED everything about Santorini. It’s really like a breath of fresh air being on that island

Santorini in one word – breathtaking! If like me, you are on a budget, stay at the Santa Barbara Hotel. We were literally greeted at the entrance with open arms and I felt right at home. The location was pretty central – we walked to the supermarkets and the pub lined Perissa beach – which by the way, has black sand! If you’ve got cash to splash, do yourself a favour and stay in Oia. I was left in absolute awe. All the pictures that are synonymous with Santorini are taken there and the sunset was one for the books. We paid about 35€ for a guided tour of the active volcanoes and even got to take a dip in the warm water. Awesome destination for a nice romantic getaway.

Best views and sunset in the world! If you’re going to Greece, visiting the island of Santorini is a must. The all-white blue topped buildings with deep blue ocean back drop makes for breath taking views. The seafood is amazing. The best way to get around is by renting an ATV. It’s a fun and exciting way to explore the island. If you’re a hiker, please be sure to do the hike from Fira to Oia to catch the sunset. It takes anywhere from 2 – 5 hours depending on how fast you walk. Have your camera ready, cause you’ll be snapping away.

Santorini was so beautiful! It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Its a very peaceful place and its the perfect place to go for a relaxing vacation. I would recommend visiting the Volcano hot springs and you must visit Oia to watch the sunset! Make sure you get there early to get a good spot! I ate at Don Et Donna and the food was very good. The view was also a great treat!

Santorini was my far the most memorable of my Greek Island Tour!

    Where to Stay
-I recommend the Andromeda Villas as its right in the heart of Oia, Kikhlades and you’re close enough get amazing photos near those famous Blue Domes. the price averages for about 160 per night plus taxes.

    Places to Go
    – We took a guided tour (name escapes me at this moment) But there you can take a boat to one of the active volcanos, take a dip in the hot springs and even ride a donkey from the very top of the city all the way down to the port.

    Places to Eat
    – I fell in love with this garden setting like restaurant called Pelican Kipos. The roasted lamb with potatoes was to die for!! We chose to eat there at least once per day.

    -Nightlife
TWO BROTHERS BAR IS THE PLACE TO BE AT!!!

Overall the trip was a little pricy as the currency is Euros. But with a little pre-planning you should be good!

There was much to do and experience in Greece. Great night life, nice beach and water sports and much too see on each island. I recommend island hopping. We flew from USA to Athens. Then took a domestic airline to Mykonos (Best Night Life of all islands) then the local seajet to Santorini (extremely beautiful). Greece was a bit pricey but you can do better making all reservations and planning months before your trip. Best places to stay varied between hotels and Airbnb. It depends on the island

Santorini, Greece was one of the five locations (5) we visited for our 2017’s Girls Trip! This place is beautiful! While I would say that it’s definitely a couples location, it was just as exciting hanging with the girls! We booked a private tour with Santorini Day Tours, and they were outstanding! During our stay we took stayed 2 days on another Greek Island (Mykonos)! If you’ve ever visited Ibiza, Spain then you’ll absolutely love Mykonos! The island has the same visual as Santorini , such as the all white buildings and and blue dome roofs. However, Paradise and Super Paradise beaches are the party central locations. Additionally, you must go to the Little Venice area while in Mykonos. Santorini’s black sand beaches Kamari and Perissa are beautiful! Perissa was my favorite! Don’t forget to watch the sunset, and visit Fira, Firostefani, and Imerovigli.

Santorini was the most breath-taking place in terms of views that I’ve ever been to. It was like heaven on earth! The “bluest” seas and the architecture of the houses/hotels perfectly placed in the hills was like being in a post card photo. There is just something about the white walls and blue roof structures that bring this place to life. The people were friendly and spoke English for the most part. We did an amazing donkey ride up what felt like a million steps and catamaran cruises that visited their volcano. This is definitely a romance destination. Unmatched views placed this second to none so far for me ?

What can I say.. Santorini is definitely my top destination! I stayed at Santorini Secret which had the best view and infinity pool. Breakfast every morning was my highlight because of it. Santorini is more of a relaxing destination vs a party/adventure. More wine tasting, people watching and sunset vibes. The local food was impeccable. Soon as I got home, I looked for a local Greek restaurant. If you are looking for a romance, quiet or relaxing destination with views to die for.. Santorini is it!

Santorini, Greece was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. We stayed at the Chromata which was luxurious! The scenery in Santorini is one that pictures can’t capture between the all white buildings and the blue pigment of the ocean. We did a cruise that sailed the Aegean Sea, went to the spa and went to the downtown area of Fira where we went to night clubs. The night life is pretty amazing, there are so many different places to choose from.

The house were either blue or white and the famous blue dome church was spectacular. We had a view of the ocean from our hotel room and it was breathtaking. Definitely stay in a CAVE hotel. We loved our CAVE! These are actual caves that were built into the mountains and people lived in these cave dwellings many years ago. They didn’t change much, they just renovated to make the place more modern. Amazing experience.

We stayed at the Cocoon Suites and absolutely loved lt there. Service, room, views all 5 Star. They bring your breakfast on your patio, in front a view to die for. We didn’t leave our room much because there was no need to. And because we spent a nice amount of money on lt lmao! Got our money’s worth! Definitely recommend Cocoon Suites!

My husband and I traveled to Santorini for our honeymoon last year and we are dying to get back. This is by FAR one of the most beautiful locations we have ever been to. Oia is like something out of a magazine and to watch the sunset in Oia is absolutely breathtaking. We did one of the yacht tours around the Caldera and I highly recommend this as it will give you the true depiction of the island. We also went scuba diving as well and loved it. We stayed at Armeni Village and the view from our hotel was SPECTACULAR and the breakfast every morning was delicious. If a couple is looking for a romantic getaway that is a little piece of paradise I highly recommend Santorini and its also very affordable.

Sanatori was the most the most beautiful location I have been able to visit in my life. The sunset the most amazing in any location of santorini but the most beautiful view is at oia or on the sunset cruise. The colors are different from each location. That’s not the best part but the city is pretty spaced out so there so many things to get into. You can go to he beach during the day, go to Fira for some shopping or go to a wine tasting then go to oia for the sunset. Then back to Fira for some local nightlife. Then you can go on the volcano and sulfur boat cruise the next day. The cruise brings you to the sulfur location (be sure to wear dark colors as the sulfur water will change your light colors into brown) wear you swim into the springs. Then they bring you to one of the oldest volcano to hike to. Great view at the top but the smells are very strong. Overall, there is many things to get into on the island. So don’t be afraid to explore and enjoy.

Santorini was the most relaxing vacation I’ve take so far. I stayed at the East West Suites which was truely worth every penny. The hotel was in Imerovigli which meant the strip was right round the corner. We easy access to all the clubs are and bars. I found that everybody in santorini was extremely kind and helpful when it came asking for directions or recommending a good place to eat. I was completely satisfied with the food and the prices but my girlfriend is a fussy eater so we would often spend time trying to find something to suit her. We spent most of our time by the pool at our hotel drinking cocktails enjoying the weather and watching the sun come up or go down. All in all it was very much worth it.

I stayed in Santorini Island Aug 31- Sep 4, 2017 at El Greco Resort in was in (Thira) approximately 5 miles away from the National Airport (JTR) the resort was beautiful ! The weather was 80 to 90 degrees during the day and 70 to 75 degrees at night. The hotel was only a 10 minute walk to Fira. Fira had a ton of shops for souvenirs, local shops and restaurants. This same area also had bars, clubs and a hookah lounge. We went into Fira every night and had a great time.
We went on a Catamaran sunset cruise which included English speaking crew, snorkeling equipment p and dinner provided. Wi-Fi was available on board. I highly recommend the cruise, the crew was amazing, they played top 40 music and hip hop music.
I do not know how to swim, they had life vest and a wonderful crew member helped me to calm my nervous and I was able to experience snorkeling in the Aegean Sea. The best experience ever.
The cruise took us to the red and white beach and the hot springs . There was a buffet dinner on the boat. During the cruise they offered unlimited Santorinian wine and soft drinks.

We also went on s Santorini wine tour. The tour included a visit to 3 traditional Santorini wineries and learn about 8 styles of winemaking. Walk by vineyards, explored the production facilities and sample 3 wines per winery.
One say we went to Oia ( the location where all the blue dome photos are taken) to see the sunset , Oia was very crowded ( which I did not like) breathtaking views. Lots of hotels, local shops and resturants. We were told that is where people stay for their honeymoon. Hotels in Oia are very expensive and once the sun goes down there is nothing to do.
