Sedona, Arizona has been known as a “healing” location due to high mineral content in the land. The location is breath taking with views of red rock mountains, streams and a combination of both cactus and trees. Unlike the “valley” in Arizona, Sedona remains much cooler (15-20 degrees lower) than closest major city Phoenix and only a 2-hour drive.

The city is known outdoor activites and adventure; hiking, golf, horse back riding and off road riding however there are also amazing spas and art studios to visit and explore. Do not expect a lively night scene-this city does shut down at 10pm but with so much to do during the day, night time is the perfect time to take in star gazing, a good glass of wine and recharge. Defintely a domestic luxury location-you can visit on a budget, but there are some amazing luxeries worth splurging on here.

Equally fun for families, couples and singles; Sedona is must to add to your list and more than likely a location worthy of returning often. The community is welcoming and warm, POC and LBGQTIA friendly.

Sedona is at the top of my favorite travel location in the United States. Not only is it beautiful with all the mountains of red rocks, but it’s also magical with the vortex energy that is beneath the earth. That spirally energy can not only been felt when hiking to some of the main vortex areas, but you can see it when looking at the trees that grow from the ground with twisted bark. There is something to do for every who is looking for some adventure as well as rest and relaxation. Your accommodations can range from camping on BLM land to staying at a luxury spa resort nestled amongst the Red Rocks.

A trip to Sedona will typically require a flight into Phoenix followed by a 2 hour drive to Sedona. It’s well worth it.
