There is a decent amount of things to do in Syracuse compared to the surrounding cities. There’s Destiny USA mall, which is the largest mall in America with a small ikea attached. There’s a movie theater and multiple show theaters. There are lots of bars downtown. There is also a smoothie place called mango smoothies that makes fruit smoothies, milkshakes, crepes, and other treats from fresh fruit. There is also a gay bar called Trex for the queers- it is $5-10 to get in.
People are opinionated but not violently. They will speak their mind and stand on their beliefs even with nothing to back them. But it’s all verbal. There is not a lot of physical violence in this area. Most of the Black population is in Southside, the hood, the food there is good. The people are hearty. If you’re human, everyone will treat you with kindness and respect.
This was our first time in Syracuse so we decided to try out Big Fellas. We were not disappointed. We had the Nipsey Blue lemonades, 5 BBQ wings & fries, and 5 Hot Honey ribs and fries. The wings were fried crispy and the ribs were fall off the bone. The place was packed but the wait wasn’t that long. We’d definitely come back if in the area. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
