A Little About Me:

I am born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and have been living in New York City for the last 10 years. You can find me at a art gallery or museum; never not wearing a hat. I love traveling, and learning about new different cultures.

Thailand is one of the most beautiful places to not only visit, but also explore. The first stop in Thailand was Elephant sanctuary Phuket. While there you learn so much about elephants, what they eat and the way they live. You help to prepare their food, and have one-on-one time feeding them. You can also take a bath and shower with elephants which is one of the most amazing experiences. If you don’t do anything else while in Thailand the Elephant Sanctuary is a must. Next, the Big Buddha. (Get there early to get a good picture) The Buddha sit at the top of a mountain so it’s quite a long ride up. You can pay to ride an atv up the mountain, take a scooter, or by car. Please be mindful when going that you have to be dressed modestly or you will be required to cover up in wraps that they provide. The views at the top of the mountain are breathtaking, and offer a 360 view of Phuket. You can purchase some souvenirs, and experience monks praying. One of the coolest things was purchasing a gold leave that you can write a message on and tie to any tree. Grab a snack on your way out at one of the shops for the ride back down. Old Town, was such a vibe...the colorful to the street food allowed you to get a true feel for Phuket. Old town stretches about 4 block long, and is filled with markets, boutiques, ice cream and coffee. While in Thailand I didn’t see any other African Americans, but the people in this beautiful city are kind and showed so much love. If you get the opportunity please visit, you won’t be disappointed.

Hawaii has to be one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever gone to. You have to go to a Luau if you visit Hawaii. The Luau at the Royal Hawaiian resort was just under $200 for one person. The food and drinks were pretty good. Experience singing, dancing, pig roast, and FIRE. Great Experience!!!! I am still dreaming about how good the pineapples were in Hawaii. Know matter where I got pineapples from, they were ALWAYS fresh, sweet, and juicy. You can get them from just about anywhere on the island. Hope if you visit, you have a great time as I did.

I loved London! You have to visit Box Park. Ace Hotel in east London in Shoreditch. The hotel is very art and fashion inspired. Great staff at the hotel. They were dressed in Ace Hotel clothing that you could buy. My room (Deluxe Double) for two people, I payed $150 a night. My most memorable thing I did in London was visit boxpark. It’s a bout 15 minutes from the Ace Hotel. The concept of this park is super cool. The park is made of tracker track containers cut in half with different brands inside the containers. Fashion, Art, and Food. Such a great vibe in this park, and it’s FREE to enter the park.

Cape Town is an amazing city to visit. The easiest way to get around was traveling by Uber. You can purchase a city pass which will include entry into most of the activities experiences in the city. For your animal adventurers I would highly recommend Aquila Safari. You can get a package that includes transportation, but pack a snack the ride is about two hours (it’s worth it). Lunch is provided and you can also enjoy the pool and spa if you choose. For the history buffs, Robin Island is a must. You travel by boat to the island where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated. You are given a bus tour, and then a tour of the prison by former inmates that recount their personal experiences. The views are breathtaking, and this is an experience that your won’t forget. For some fun in the sun Boulders Beach is amazing. The journey from Cape Town is about an hour and you get the most scenic ride ever, as you travel through the mountains. At the beach you will want to go to the beach side, but the real gem is an area called Middle beach. You have to do a bit of of climbing and crawling to get there, however it worth every moment to get an up and close experience with South Africa’s best kept secret...penguins. When you want a day to walk around and relax, visit the V&A waterfront. This area has everything, including the Zeitz Museum, Two Oceans Aquarium, and the Cape Town Eye, and a ton of shops an eateries. My favorite place to eat was The Fat Fish restaurant....order the salmon you won’t regret it. After your done eating at the V&A walk over to the Bo-Kaap neighborhood where you will find the most vibrant and colorful homes. This neighborhood packs a punch with the different colored homes and vintage cars. The people of Cape Town are very kind and welcoming. Here you can find melting pot of various ethnic, and racial backgrounds.
