    Things To Do

Bangkok was big and busy and reminded me of New York City. We visited the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. I enjoyed learning about Buddhism and Thai culture from our great tour guide. We traveled south to Koh Samui for a few days and although it was raining and cloudy, it was still easy to find beauty in the island. Next was one night in Khao Sok. I was pleasantly surprised with what this natural reserve had to offer. There were beautiful mountains and rainforest everywhere and while on our canoeing trip, monkeys came up to us and said hi! I was a bit nervous, because they were very close and have been known to snatch cameras and other belongings away from tourists. It was definitely a highlight.

    Affordability

I stayed in the luxury FACE Suites for only $70 USD a night! The "room" was more like a one bedroom apartment with gorgeous views of the city. On top of the 56th floor, was an infinity rooftop pool with an unreal presentation of Kuala Lumpur's landscape. I also stayed in a hostel for a night which was around $8 USD. Taxies were also cheap. My one hour ride from the airport was around $13. Unfortunately, some drivers will try and take advantage of you. Ask them to turn on the meter as soon as you get in. We had one driver refuse to turn his on. We kindly asked to get out, because he was acting very suspicious.

This review is specifically for The Royalton Punta Cana. My stay at this resort was wonderful! Everyone took great care of me and exceeded all expectations. My room had a spectacular view of the ocean that was the perfect scenery for a relaxing atmosphere. I would go again in a heartbeat!
