Get you a drop top Jeep and explore the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. You can see the amazing architecture of Old San Juan, and the inner mazes of the Castillo Fortress. Go fly boarding at Luquillo Beach, and ride jet skis along the coast side of San Juan. Which happens to be apart of the Bermuda Triangle. Both were AMAZING experiences. There’s lots to do, and if you’re not a thrill seeker, enjoy a bottle of Bacardi or Medalla straight from their home land. Enjoy!
Also... Their seafood!! ????
Looking at my rating I think this may have my favorite trip lol!
Somehow there is a surplus of mustangs at the renting locations. I ended up being forced to rent one, 3 times. I wasn’t complaining though. Jump in you car and just drive, see beautiful sights, wild life just feet away from your car. Drive to the other side of the island away from the tourists and eat Poke from a mom & pop restaurant. Go snorkeling in the beautiful shallow water beaches. DONT BOTHER WITH THE PEARL HARBOR MUSEUM. No disrespect to the troops, but I highly suggest you check out the BISHOP museum. There you’ll find out a lot of truths about what America and the Europeans did to Hawaii, but I digress. Overall, Hawaii is absolutely amazinggg, and I would suggest everyone try it when they can.
I truly enjoyed this trip to the fullest. A down side of some areas in Costa Rica is that they are far and wide. Everything is a bit spread out. Luckily i rented a car and was able to do some much. Zip lining, visited a nature reserve, the beach, the national parks. Visiting one of the national parks is a must. I’d really suggest you get a guide. The natural hot springs IS A MUST. 8 months later i swear i still feel the hot natural spring pour on my shoulders. Honestly one of the best experiences of my life. The food is fresh, the locals are kind, and there is A LOT to do.
The history, architecture and art is UNMATCHED. Of course Europe/Europeans have a shady history, but you can’t front on their art. Every building wether it be an old ruin or a new bank, looks like it was chiseled by hand. It is called the eternal city for a good reason, there is history around every turn. It really is a great place to just walk around sight see, grab a glass of wine and do it again. (We did that about 3 times in a day and it was very enjoyable lol). YOU MUST VISIT THE VATICAN. If you are a history/art buff like myself, you MUST see the art that is in the Sistine Chapel, it is breath taking, and much more extensive than just the painting of God and Adam. I definitely recommend it.
Lastly I do want to include.... being a 6’ 2 Black man, with a curvaceous full figured black woman on my side, we got A LOTTT of stares, honestly a ridiculous amount. Nothing was ever said to us, but you just need to keep in mind this is a different enviornment and what is regular to you isn’t to them. Try and have thick skin. You know? Enjoy!
