Cabo = a great time. One of my most memorable vacations. Not really a resort person but stayed at Riu Santa Fe which is probably why I had such a great time. Draws in cool people, and the staff is amazing. Definitely stay there if you're a young adult and looking for a resort, as oppose to a renting a villa. Even though we were on a resort we left it everyday to go into town or do excursions, but there's plenty to do if you decide to stay on resort. Local food was amazing - Omni Sports Bar on the beach and Cabo Cantina are the spots! Nightlife was UNREAL. It's an absolute must that you hit up El Squid Roe in town, I promise it's like nothing you've ever experiences. If you're into fun go to Cabo.

Went on a solo trip early August, prior to the hurricanes. Definitely felt very safe as a female solo traveller. Recommend staying at Mango Mansion Hostel, everyone is very friendly and great way to meet other solo travellers! For the real adventure seekers try kayaking through the bioluminescent bay in Vieques, or make the trip to Sans Sebastian and cliff jump off the Gozalandia waterfalls (far better than that in El Yunque National Park). The island has lots of different restaurants and shops, the food is amazing. The offers In Puerto Rico are endless, from lounging on the beaches, to getting lost on the cobblestone streets of Old San Juan, to exploring the rainforests. Something for everyone!

Visited in late September, and was probably one of the best times to go as it is low season. The country is unbelievable with incredible scenery everywhere you look. We road-tripped through the Golden Circle (stopping at Þingvellir National Park, Geysir Hot Springs, and Gullfoss) and continued towards the south coast. Along the southern coast, we stopped at Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon (UNREAL!), Skogafoss, the black sand beaches of Vik, and Seljalandsfoss. I do recommend that if you stop at Seljalandsfoss you visit Gljufrabul, a secret cave waterfall 1/4 mile left of Seljalandsfoss - total hidden gem. You'll know you're at the right spot when you see a small, shallow stream coming from a gorge in the rock. You will need to walk through the gorge but it's worth it! Back in Reykjavik there's something for everyone. Lots of neat shops and restaurants. Blue Lagoon Spa is a very unique experience, though pricey. There are tons of natural geothermal springs all over the country that cost you a fraction of BL price or are free. The nightlife in Reykjavik is like nothing I've ever seen be for and amazingly fun! Avoid the tour groups, and go with a car rental. The country is super easy to navigate, and the local's English is excellent. Recommend giving yourself enough time throughout your roadtrip, as you'll want to make frequent stops for unexpected sites along the way like; lava fields, petting Icelandic horses and sheep! Drink the tap water, eat the yogurt and hot dogs.
