Amsterdam is exactly what you think it is, in terms of fun and adventure! During my stay there I was able to take a river cruise to view the entire city. I definitely recommend it! The company was the "lover's cruise" but I went for the 4 course meal with unlimited drinks and didnt mind the other couples kissing under bridges. Also, as you already know the red light district is the place to go. Word of advice, do not take pictures of the ladies in the windows, it's common sense but sometimes sense isnt so common. For the adventurous adults, they have live shows. I checked a very classy adult show in the district called Casa Rosso. Mark it off your bucket list.
Kenya has a special place in my heart. I was able to travel to Kenya for 3 weeks. While there I worked with local Kenyans, providing behavior therapy services. Of course on the weekends, I was able to partake in fun things. One specific recommendation is to travel to Masai Mara. I stayed at the Sarova Mara Game Camp. I spent a few days on safari, observing the giraffes, cheetahs, elephants and so much more! While at Sarova Mara I was able to even see animals in my front yard. It was amazing and I recommend it!
I absolutely loved my hotel in Paris. I stayed at the Crayon Rouge, a cute little boutique hotel that is walking distance from the Louvre and Jardin du Palais- Royal. They offer breakfast for an extra 15 euros and have a wine bar. I would definitely stay here again!
I recently visited Frankfurt. It has a special place in my heart, since I was born there. It is a small, but gorgeous, city with a rich history. I stayed in City Center, which is close to everything, including the red light district. To get around I used local taxi, when I needed, as they do not have uber. There are plenty of bars and museums to partake in. I visited the Museum of World Cultures. They currently have an exhibit on Africans who were enslaved in Brazil and also an exhibit on the Guarini resisters. They also have hop on and hop off buses to get a tour of the city--i suggest doing this if you want to learn more about the city. Also, their botanical garden is huge and a great place to relax.
Barcelona is amazing! I stayed in an air bnb in the old town. I visited during the off season, so many shops were closed down. Food in Barcelona was great, in old town there were many options. Getting around is fairly simple, if you are in a convenient location as I was. I walked mostly but caught a taxi when needed. One thing that occurred during the trip, random Europeans treating my friends and I as exhibitions. It only happened on one of the nights, during our time at a bar, so it's not representative of the entire visit.
I absolutely loved Peru!!! It is at the top of the list for favorite places to travel. My friends and I started our journey in Lima and flew to Cuzco. We stayed at an air bnb. This was a great decision as our hosts booked excursions for us including horseback riding and our trip to Machu Picchu. Our time spent in cuzco was great. The views of Machu Picchu arebreathtaking. There are multiple ways to see it, you can take the train to a bus or you may choose to indulge in a hike, in lieu of the bus. We chose the train to bus option, but in the future I might consider hiking to the higher mountain. I suggest getting an early train so that you can to Machu Picchu early. After you are done, enjoy some time in the small town by grabbing lunch or doing a little shopping.
