I visited Tulum twice once on a family trip pre-covid and just recently for a girls trip December 2020. Both times I was able to visit multiple sites from the Ruins to Pablo Escobar mansion both of which I researched and scheduled myself. If you aren't that savvy you can also get tours scheduled through your hotel concierge. I’ve had wonderful experiences both trips. Be sure to research your resort and choose your hotel wisely because location is key to accessing things to do! The cabs can become costly if you are not in the right area. My recent stay was in Papaya Playa Project which was in a excellent area close to downtown with plenty of restaurants and lounges. Overall great place to visit to either relax or if you want to turn up Tulum offers both!
