Greece is definitely the spot to be if you love history. You can visit the Temple of Hephaestus, Erechtheion, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and so many other sites. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and wear sunblock with a high SPF because that sun out there is no joke. Plus, there's so much to see that you'll be walking a lot.
I wasn't a big fan of France, but it wasn't too bad. There's definitely a lot of touristy things to do and see so that's a plus, and the food is okay. When I visited the Eiffel Tower I felt like I was in a foreign NY. There were people trying to sell fake designer stuff and toys, and groups of little kids begging for money. Not what I was expecting at all. Once I got to the top of the tower though the view was breathe taking and I forget all about the hassle. I visited the Louvre Museum. Honestly, it's just like every other museum here in America besides the fact that the Mona Lisa is in there. The Mona Lisa is also overhyped. There were so many people crowded around just to see that very tiny picture. Overall the only thing that I really loved about France was the shopping.
Italy is definitely one of my most favorite places that I've visited. I loved everything from the food (specifically the gelato ad real pastas and pizza), to the people... just everything. If you like doing touristy things then Italy is the perfect place for you since there's a lot of history there. You can visit Pompeii and walk through the streets and some of the building that were preserved. They also have some of the bodies in large cases. I did a scavenger hunt and while doing it I came across the infamous Trevi fountain. At the Trei fountain you are supposed to turn your back to it and throw in a coin. 1 coin means you will return to the Eternal City of Rome, 2 coins mean you will return, find love, and marry. Whether or not any of this is really true all of the coins tossed in go to a Catholic charity that supports the poor and homeless.
I visited Costa Rica in April and it is definitely a beautiful place to go. This was another family trip with my cousins so it was 13 of us that went. We got a bomb villa through luxuryretreats.com so it came with a chef and housekeeping. Our villa was called Villa Nova. It had 4 bedrooms inside of the house and then had a guest house with another bedroom. The house was at the very top of a hill so our view was amazing. We had an infinity pool which was amazing and at the guest house there was an outdoor jacuzzi. I would suggest everyone traveling in big groups anywhere to use luxuryretreat.com because you get an amazing villa for a cheaper price (due to so many people paying). https://www.luxuryretreats.com/vacation-rentals/r/20520840?federated_search_session_id=b0d7dab0-586d-4d56-8b1d-9316d0db1fe1&guests=12&adults=12&sl_alternate_dates_exclusion=true
I went to Punta Cana 3 times! The first time was years ago with my mother and sister, the second was a girls trip with my friends after graduating college, and the third was a big family trip for my aunt's birthday and my cousin graduating college. Of course I stayed in a different hotel each time so I'll talk about each one. Caribe Club Princess Beach Resort & Spa This was a very family friendly resort. They had many activities for both children and adults. 6 restaurants, 4 bars, 2 different pools (with all inclusive service you can access the pools at their sister hotel), 2 adult clubs, 1 kids club, a casino, mini golf and many other sports, as well as multiple water sports. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food also wasn't too bad. As far as price I'm unsure since I stayed here for the mother daughters trip and my mom had paid for everything. IFA Villas Bavaro Resort & Spa This hotel is all inclusive, but definitely more for adults. There were many different restaurants and bars, but my friends and I spent most of our time at pizzeria & bar because that was the only thing open really late at night. The hotel is right on the beach so they had many different water sports to choose from. We were able to book excursions right in our hotel lobby which was very convenient. Overall the place was nice. We had booked this trip through a friend's travel agency so it was very inexpensive trip with flights included. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana I stayed at this hotel a year ago for the big family vacation. This was by far my favorite hotel. They literally have everything you can think of at the resort so we didn't have to leave for much except for an excursion. Of course the food was good. They had a live band one night so it was like a big concert outside. There was 1 club and many different bars and restaurants to choose from. My favorite part was the escape room that was on-site. The spa there is breathtaking and I have yet to find one anywhere that can top it.
I just recently came back from Bali (Tuesday to be exact) and I had the time of my life. I went with 13 of my cousins and we celebrated 3 birthdays so we did a lot. I will cover 2 categories: Things to do & Where to stay. Where To Stay: Since my family and I usually travel in big groups we always stay in villas. We use luxuryretreats.com for all of them and I must say they have always been great for us. I definitely recommend them for big groups simply because you get the chance to stay in a very luxurious villa with a chef and housekeeping for a cheap price (due to so many people paying). The villa we had in Bali was called Villa Naty. The staff was amazing and the villa itself was breathtaking. The chef made us breakfast every day and we got to choose what days we wanted them to make us other meals. Since it was 3 of my cousin's birthdays when we arrived they had flower baths in the master bedrooms waiting for them with Happy Birthday written in flowers. It was so beautiful. They also changed the flower designs in the baths every day. Anytime we needed a taxi to go anywhere the staff scheduled that and made sure the same taxi picked us back up as well. If I ever take a 2nd trip to Bali I would stay at the same place again. Things To Do: We only stayed for 4.5 days so we weren't able to get to everything since there was so many of us, but if you go to Bali you have to go to the Mason's Adventures Elephant Park, the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary and Bali Swing. I love elephants so I was so excited to bathe and interact with them. There were many different options to choose from such as bathing them, doing a safari ride, or simply just entering the park. They also have a restaurant/grill at the location if you happen to get hungry. I was very nervous about the monkey sanctuary because there are A LOT of rules so you don't intimidate them. They are very interesting animals, but I had a blast. I also got a selfie with one of the monkeys so I was happy. Lastly, Bali Swing. Honestly, that place is for people who just want to take a bunch of instagrammable pictures BUT I had the time of my life. There were 13 different swings at different heights and many different nests that you could take pictures in. To have their photographer take your pictures it was only $12 USD so in total we spent $37 there which I didn't think was bad. Ladies, you also have the option to rent a long dress so you can get some bomb pictures on the swing with it blowing in the wind.
