When visiting Miami, you MUST consider staying at Pharrell Williams's The Goodtime Hotel. You will be transported from the minute you enter the lobby by the ambience, lush/designer/tropical getaway decor, and most of all the service. I cannot say enough about the service. The staff is attentive, alert, present minded and welcoming. The service is genuine and not forced. You will notice their standards are upheld on the Happy side of life (*wink), and exceed 90% of other places to be encountered. I honestly let go of the outside world while staying ..... The lobby starts with an enclosed courtyard out front. You'll probably find yourself back there, just lingering and going with the flow. The pool and the DJ on the rooftop are excellent. I admit, I wish there was more dancing. I'm a 90's R&B fanatic. The "South Beach bodies" are too cool for that! But their presence won't bother you at all if you don't have one. Do yourself a favor and spring for the dining options at the hotel, and you won't regret spending your time there.
