I just returned from 6 days in this beautiful country! Costa Rica has so many different climates and you can easily just do all adventures in the rainforest, or relax by the beach on either coast, or have a mix of both! In terms of adventure, I highly recommend making your way to the rainforest in La Fortuna / Arenal area. On day one we enjoyed the Don Juan Coffee and Chocolate tour; on day two we packed it in with a 10 hour 3 in 1 tour which included an Arenal Volcano hike, swimming at the La Fortuna Waterfall, and lastly testing our fear of heights with the Mystico Hanging Bridges! On day 3, we did zip lining and repelling through the forest which was super fun! Arenal/La Fortuna has so much to offer and everyone should go see the beauty of the rainforest. This area is also known for their natural hot springs and we ended our adventures with a nice thermal soak at Baldi Hot Springs & Resort. I could go on but everyone should experience what Costa Rica has to offer! The people are also super friendly :)
With only 48 hours in Paris I had to be strategic about how to use my time. My adventures included a bike tour with Fat Tire Bike Tours; an evening boat tour on the Seine River with Bateaux Mouches River Cruise, and going all the way up to the top of the Eiffel Tower (be sure to check out the Eiffel Light Show at night)! This gave me a chance to visit many historical landmarks along the way and I also had a chance to window shop along the famous Avenue des Champs-Elysees and made it to the end to view the Arc de Triomphe. Paris is a magical city, easy to get around on train or foot, and was super easy to travel solo!
London was a great city to go sight seeing! There's so much to see and do and it actually reminds me of a bigger and cleaner NYC ; ) Since I went to visit family I didn't have to plan a thing but they covered all the sights any tourist would want to see. Piccadilly Circus was fun to roam around and shop or just enjoy a great meal. But one of my favorite things about London are its open markets, namely, Notting Hill and the famous Portobello Road is a must see! I'm sure you've all seen the movie "Notting Hill" but it's one of the world's largest antiques market and it was just super cute to walk around. Secondly, Borough Market, a well known food market, was also super fun as we enjoyed local food vendors, handcrafted coffee, and of course fish n' chips! Other things to do within walking distance of each other is to check out the London Eye, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and of course Buckingham Palace. The history is rich here but I was able to cover all these sights in just a couple of days and the best part, you can easily get around by train or on foot!
