I'm trying to travel more these days to see more of the great wonders in the world, and if you have the same mentality, then you have to go to Arizona and check out the Grand Canyon. I'm not gonna lie, I was a little terrified hiking down because i definitely thought the path was going to be wider, and in the beginning was afraid I was going to fall or something, but you quickly get over that. Hands down to this day one of the most breathtaking sites I've ever seen. I stayed at one of the hotels by the grandcanyon, honestly it was nothing fancy, I think it was under $100 a night if I recall, but we hardly spent anytime in the hotel anyway and was just there to see the view. On the second day we drove out the Sedona which is just absolutely gorgeous with the colors of the building all going with the theme of the city (literally certain paint colors are prohibited so it doesn't mess up the vibe) there were really cool canyons there too the check out, but I was a little tired from hiking the grand canyon that i just checked out the city life. stayed at a cute little hotel for under $150 that night. All and all a good trip!

Being a New Yorker, part of me didn't want to like Los Angeles because I feel like we're supposed to be rivals or something, but i will definitely say I had such a good time there. I walk all the time when I'm in NY to get from point A to point B, but it's different in LA when you basically drive to a place to make walking an activity, like walking on the beach, or going on a hike at runyon canyon, or the Hollywood sign. I went with a friend of mine and her dog and we were just playing music and looking at the cool views on each hike that has varying levels of difficulty. We also checked out universal studios which was a good time. I had been to Universal in florida, but that was my first time in California. I personally enjoyed the florida one more, but there's more filming history in California...obviously. Everyone loves to talk about LA traffic, but I was there for 6 days and didn't get caught in it once... wanna know why? just don't leave at rush hour...its that simple. Plan your days so that if youre at a location at 3pm, you know your not leaving until after 4...so just enjoy the time. Be prepared to spend a full day at the grove if you're a shopaholic like me! I definitely bought all the things... so yeah I'm broke now. Any way pricing wise i got a little lucky to stay with a friend each day, but I did see some airbnbs in the valley area that weren't TOO bad. Flying out of NY is direct and affordable if you plan ahead. Got roundtrip for around $250

A group of 7 of us went to San Juan for our friend's bachelorette party and we had a blast! There was so much to do there, from hiking through the rainforest, to atv, salsa dance classes. It was a quick trip, from thursday to sunday, but had we been there longer, we would have definitely tried to do fly boarding, ziplining, and parasailing as well. We checked out a lot of the cool neighborhoods. La placita was had all the bars and party scene. We went there on a Friday night so it was extremely crowded, but fun. Old San Juan had a lot of history, beautiful colorful buildings and we got to see where the first pina colada was made. I'd say what really made the trip were the locals. Everything we ended up doing came from recommendations from the locals we met at the coffeeshop and restaurants. It also helped that we stayed at an airbnb, Our host johanna left so much great information regarding places we could check out. On top of all of that her place was beautiful! 4 rooms, so 6 of us between the 3 rooms and the bride to be had the master bedroom. We also had a beautiful porch and fire pit outside. And when I say the beach was walking distance, i mean all we had to do was walk to the end of the street that turned into the beach. We stayed up one night and watched the sunset, and practically just slept on the beach the next night. Hands down san juan was one of my favorite trips. and for flights that were under $300 round trip (coming from NY) on a holiday weekend, and only having to pay $170 for 3 nights, was definitely a good deal. I'd definitely go again and stay at the same place if possible. Fun times!
