Roma! It’s like one gigantic museum. Everything that you seen in history books and in the movies. There is graffiti in a lot of places do not let that deter you. It is a very busy place. We went in early March. I would suggest you have Euros on you. A lot of places want cash instead of cards. There are private car services that are about 50 Euros but I suggest using the transit system. A card is about 10 Euros per day. Please note, this card only works at for the subway and train system close to the center city. You will have to purchase a train ticket for about 7 Euros when traveling outside of this. Be mindful of this when traveling back to the airport. My main suggestion is book a hotel at the city center. Hotels charge a tax that you have to pay upon arrival in cash. It’s about 6-10 Euros. Make sure you read up on price increases before you leave on your trip. Be prepared to walk and take in the sites Historical Sites: Trevi Fountain - toss some Euros in for a wish Pantheon Fountain of the Four Rivers Saint Peters Square Sistine Chapel St Peters Basilica - free - there will be a long line and security check outside The Vantican - free on the last Sunday of the month Spanish Steps - crowded Colosseum The Forum Capitoline Hill Arch of Septimius Severus Trastevere - view the entire city Tip: Mostly all the museums above are free in Rome the first Sunday of the month. I definitely wish I would have done a guided tour for Ancient Rome Places to eat: Everywhere! Seriously pick somewhere and dine in. Try some places away from the touristy spots. You can get a whole pizza and small bottle of wine for like 10 Euros. Don’t forget to grab Gelato! Overall, Rome is very beautiful. Walk, read, see and eat! Order Euros before you travel. Please have cash!! Be a local! Stay closer to the city center. Please do attempt to speak Italian! Use Google Translate to learn basic phases and words.

    Things To Do

The City of Lights is beautiful at night. If you’re a little hesitant to travel to Paris because of the language barrier DO NOT let that stop you as many of the people there know English fluently or at the very least know enough where you can figure out what the other is trying to say. Even though there are people who speak English at the very least ATTEMPT to speak some French and it will go a long way. Paris is very dirty so save the new shoes. We stayed Hotel Mercure Paris Porte De Pantin for around 100 Euros. The best advice I can give is make sure you have google maps and google translate on your phone and you’ll be extremely grateful that you did. They have a subway system but we used it a lot less than in London. The best way to experience the Eiffel Tower is at night when it is all lit up and if you’re there near the top of the hour you may catch the light show. We caught the light show around 7pm. 7th arr is a great view for pictures. Another great view is Palais de Challiot. There are usually local musicians playing here. Another must do while in Paris is to check out the Lourve. Although we didn’t find out until that day, the 1st Friday of every month there is free admission to the museum (but be warned the lines are insane so you may want to see if you can reserve tickets online or just get there insanely early). If you miss this, purchase your tickets online and set an early arrival time especially if you want to see the Mona Lisa. The single tickets are 19 Euros/person. The Arc de Triumphe is a great place to have a photo op. You can actually venture to the middle of the road and get in a line to get a perfect picture in front of it if you don’t have the time or want to pay to travel to the top of it. There is great shopping to do in Paris, but if you want a one-stop shop to get a little of everything you should definitely check out Galeries Lafayette Haussmann. There is a rooftop here for you to take pictures and get a view of the city. It’s free! If you decide to take a stroll down the River Siene, make sure you have a jacket or sweater because the breeze off the water gets very chilly and windy at night (we were there in February/early March). If you have a chance, take a day trip to Versailles; that’s one thing I wish we had more time to do. There’s a certain vibe in Paris that makes this a great place to go with your significant other. Tips: Order Euros before you travel. Be a local! Stay closer to the city center. Please do attempt to speak French! Use Google Translate to learn basic phases and words. Purchase tickets from a person for the Subway system and train. Maybe around 15 Euros. It’s literally a small ticket that you have to insert every time so keep it somewhere safe. Paris is zoned so make sure you grab a map and ask questions if the stop seems really far out. Watch your surroundings! Overall it was good. We stayed for 3 days. I would say that’s long enough

London reminded me of many major cities except it’s very clean. It’s a mix of old vs new, history meets present. I loved it and it’s definitely a place to visit! We traveled during late February, early March and only there for 3 days. We stayed in the Chelsea area at the DoubleTree London hotel. 4+ star hotel and it was about $100 per night. Also, breakfast included. The best way to get around the city is the Tube - London Overground/Underground, bus to travel around. It’s much like NYC transit. Grab a physical map and make sure Google Maps is updated. If you are there for two days or more, I recommend purchasing a pay as you go Visitor Oyster Card. Add about €15/person for every 2 days. You can always add more. The credit never expires, you can get the balance back before you leave. Once you make it to the heart of the city walk or bike. Sites to Visit/see: British Museum - free (check out the Egyptian exhibit first and see the Rosetta Stone) Buckingham Palace Big Ben London Eye Tower of London - about €25/person (You get a history lesson from former military and the Crown Jewels are here) Tower Bridge Oxford Street Places to Eat/Drink: So London is not the best when it comes to food, but here’s a few Elan Cafe - florals everywhere - pastries and tea here The Grenadier - its a pub Hoxton Grill Box Park Sky Garden - free - You can get a 360 view of the city, food, drinks and live music at night. It’s open during the day/night and it’s absolutely beautiful. Also it saves you from paying for the London Eye Nightlife: East London/Shoreditch area is where it’s at! So many places for you to go. We went to The Hoxton Pony (Hip Hop Hype/Afro Beats nights are usually the first Fridays monthly, but events throughout. Buy cheaper tickets online prior to going. It was €9 Tips: Order pounds before you travel. Be a local! If you are traveling to another country from London via the Chunnel/Eurostar, arrive 60 mins prior to boarding or you will not be allowed to board! The fee is like €45 Overall, London is amazing! I wish we were there longer so much to see and do :)
