A hidden gem of the UAE is Abu Dhabi. While most people go to Dubai and then take a day trip to Abu Dhabi to see the mosque and the Louvre museum, few people actually stay in Abu Dhabi. For me Abu Dhabi was beautiful, peaceful and serene. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Abu Dhabi, which is a beautiful, newly built hotel. The customer service was amazing, rooms were beautiful and contemporary, and the hotel had a beautiful view of the water at the back. If you’re looking to get away from the fast pace of Dubai for a few days I highly recommend Abu Dhabi. The mosque is a must see! And the Grand Hyatt is a beautiful hotel with excellent customer service
The Dubai Desert Safari Tour is a must! We actually booked it on Groupon through Luxury Tours for 150 Aed for 2 people (about $40 USD). This included transportation from our hotel to the desert, the SUV ride through the desert and dinner and a show and return back to our hotel. The ride through the desert is definitely Exhilarating and occasionally scary. Dinner consisted of traditional Middle Eastern Food and was fresh. They had free henna tents set up, camel rides also. The show included a belly dancer, fire show, sword show. Definitely a must do if you go to Dubai!
